AMAZING
The best makeup I’ve personally ever used. It matched my skin tone perfectly. I’m obsessed with the scent, if anyone knows the smell of The Body Shop’s Olive Oil Body Butter, this is the exact same scent, I literally want to bathe in it and it’s not synthetic fragrance that’s gonna jack up your hormones either it’s just essential oils. My favorite way to apply it for a more natural look is I moisturize my skin first, then mix a little foundation with some moisturizer, (I mix it with rosehip oil or my raw elements tinted mineral sunscreen). I have acne and rosacea prone highly sensitive skin, I haven’t been able to wear makeup in a year because my skin freaks out every time, but not this foundation, my skin loves it! It covers the redness and dark marks, I feel like myself again! I put it on and cried! My mom bought the same foundation 10min later she loves it too. And it washes off easily with a gentle cleanser. (I use sky organic African black soap). And the ingredients are all NATURAL AND PLANT BASED. I put off buying this for so long because I was nervous the shade wouldn’t match but I went with my gut and I’m obsessed. BUY THE FOUNDATION!

) Overall I still like the product as it's natural and has a nice ...
This is the second time I purchased this product. The packaging is different. It also has more oil it seems. If you don't stir it, a layer of oil will emerge and it would be hard to apply cos you just dip your finger into oil. I would use a piece of tissue paper to soak excess oil first before using it every morning. (I've also noticed that for my last bottle that I've used up, toward the end I needed to add and mix more oil (liquid coconut oil that I used) into the last bit of foundation so that it was not too thick to apply.) Overall I still like the product as it's natural and has a nice lemon grass aroma. Yes it is thicker and more oily than most liquid foundations, but I find it good for my sensitive and dry skin. I apply it after toner, moisturizer and sun screen.

Just amazing - the search is over.
I've been looking for a safer foundation for years. I've tried Origins, Body Shop, Dr. Heushuka, Cover FX, and Tarte, but the search is over. This foundation is simply amazing - first of all it has score 1 - low hazard - on EWG database (http://www.ewg.org), which can be as low as possible in comparison to other products. Second, it has SPF 30 protection. Third, it has amazing coverage...I have large pores and acne scars and this hides all of these issues without getting heavy or greasy. Fourth, it is moisturizing but not oily. Fifth, there is hint of essential oil scents which is really soothing and comforting. Sixth, the portion is so generous - I've never seen that amount of foundation - it came in a sizable glass jar, and I can't get over this, especially considering the price! This morning I applied the foundation with little powder, which stayed on with no shine or anything the whole morning, and after the lunch break (when I worked out and showered), I used their concealer cream - which is also SPF 30 but comes in a much smaller jar, perfect size to carry in the bag - and voila the coverage was just so perfect that I did not need to put powder or anything which I have usually had to do. I am so pleased with the purchase/product!

Very small and less than half full
Goes on thick, not smooth and unable to thin it out so I can spread it out more easily and evenly. It's just too thick. Also the small pot in comes in is less than half full! It's quite expensive considering what one gets. I won't order this again. It's not user-friendly. Sad because I wanted something non-toxic.

Not-so 'moisturizing' after all
I really REALLY wanted to like this product (after my tried-and-true, natural CC cream recently changed their formula to include dimethicone -boo!). This foundation seemed all-natural...had SPF...was supposed moisturizing...ticking all of the boxes. Opening the package, I was really impressed that it came in a dark glass pot rather than plastic. The odor was also really subtle -herbal and pleasant, and minimal fragrance is a huge plus for me in facial products. The texture seemed nice and 'whipped' in the jar, and the color was even better than expected (slightly lighter than the color swatch in the Amazon photos which was perfect for me -pale redhead w/freckles...).Since the product is described as 'moisturizing,' I tried it the first time after spritzing in the morning with rose water. I did not want to do my usual next steps of serum and moisturizer at the risk of 'overdoing' it (I would apply my former CC cream just after serum, as applying moisturizer, too, was definitely too much). This was a huge mistake, as the product went on VERY dry and was difficult to spread on my face (per the manufacturer recommendations, I used clean fingers to apply rather than an applicator/brush). Once on, the product felt very drying and itchy. Appearance was a bit pasty. Coverage was definitely full and lacked the healthy 'glow' I was used to getting from my CC cream. As the day went on and my skin replenished its oils a bit, there was a bit more dewiness to my skin, but I still found the coverage too pasty -drawing attention to the fine lines popping up around my early-thirties mouth and eyes. Not wanting to give up, I tried again. Opening the jar, however, I found that much of the oil had separated out! I whipped it back together which a cotton swab as best I could, and this time, I applied the makeup after rose water and serum. The experience was much the same as before: too dry, irritating, and pasty. I spent the day feeling the film on my face, but looking in the mirror throughout the day, the coverage was less 'obvious' to the eye than it was the first day. Sadly, it still 'felt' obvious -which is rather annoying.I gave it one last try later on just for kicks...this time I went through a complete routine of oil cleanse, rose water, serum, and moisturizer. Product was easier to apply, but the itchiness was extreme (seemingly from the combination with my moisturizer), and my skin still felt dry! At this point, I had to give up. Product was returned.I will say one other positive to the product is that I did not experience any rubbing off on clothes, hats, or eyeglasses like I would sometimes experience with my CC cream. Again, I really like what this company is trying to do, but this product just did not work for me. I am actually going to give their tinted SPF moisturizer in their other line (Herbal Choice Mari) a try, as many of those reviews stated that product was on the 'oilier' side. In my case, that might be a good thing!!
