I used to use this when I was little and I bought it for my little ones.I have used so many pencil sharpeners ever since but nothing beats this one!!!Only con is the price. I can get it with half the price in Korea..Other than that, I recommend this one 200%!

I've wasted money on many cheap pencil sharpeners in the past. Because I used to be a teacher, I tried many kinds of them and realized that there's a reason when some pencil sharpeners are cheap and some are expensive. Cheap ones can sharpen your pencil in a biased way, which means only half of your pencel black is exposed even when it's super sharp. Even when there's no problem in the pencil itself, bad pencil sharpeners make the pencils almost useless by sharpening them in the wrong way. Not all expensive kinds last either. Automatic pencil sharpeners inevitably stop working after many uses.So, I bought one from Faber-Castel before using this one. It's good and it makes the pencil super sharp, maybe because it's original purpose was to sharpen colored pencils for artists. I liked it but it got broken after several years of heavy use. That's why I finally bought this one. This is famous model in Korea as something sturdy and has a reputation for lasting forever. I heard that they even provide life-time warranty in Korea.What I like about this is that it's not tiny. Adult with big hands can use it comfortably without any issue and you don't have to empty the box often. You can adjust the sharpness two levels and fixing jammed pencil piece is easy too. I like that I invested in a decent pencil sharpener because in the long run, I am making less waste by saving on buying some crappy ones that'll end up as plastic garbage. I'll wait and see how long it lasts!

I bought this because it had so many 5 star reviews. . It sharpens perfectly every time. It doesn't damage my pencils. It's heavy enough to use without having to clamp it to the table. It hasn't broken a single lead. Its fun to use. I love it!

I've been using this pencil sharpener since I was 5 years old. I recently had to use a lot of pencils and thought of this product. And what do you know? Amazon had it and I bought it in a heartbeat. 20 years ago and now, this pencil sharpener is the best sharpener in the world in my opinion. Once you use this, you'll never use another pencil sharpener. It's easy to fix and clean and I know that you can use this for 10+ years if well maintained. Great Great GREAT product.
