Did the job
I don't know if I would buy this for a shop if I were doing this kind of work all of the time. But for the one time I'll likley ever need it, it worked great. I purchased a project truck; '03 F-350 7.3L Diesel. The steering pump was junk. This tool is required to replace the power steering pump. You can't get the pump out of the bracket without pulling off the pulley. Sure, if you bought a new pulley, you could cut off the old to remove the pump and then install a new pulley on the new pump. But this tool also installed the pulley. I suppose you could use some bolts to press the pulley on..... But hey, use this tool instead.

Okay for the price
Used to remove and replace power steering pump pulley on 2006 F250 Powerstroke 6.0 diesel.Does not come with any directions so you need to be able to figure out how to use it which is not to difficult.I ended up using a hose clamp instead of the collar used to slip over the two pulley holder halves as it seemed have to much play.Gut it work fine for both the remove and reinstall on the new pump. Glad I bought it.I would surmise those who had problems with this tool just didnt understand how it works and used it improperly.

Great price, not great for installing pulleys though
As a puller, functions well. As an installer it leaves much to be desired. Very affordable though, which is great for something you won’t be using very often.

Almost perfect for IDI vacuum pump pulley
Had to relieve just a little bit on the grinder so it would fit, but worked great for pulley removal on the vacuum pump of a 91 F250 with 7.3 IDI.

Works like it should
Only used it once it has worked perfectly not sure on severe use but the occasional diy person good value for your money, no instruction you need to either figure it out or already know how to use it

Threads are not hardened and all the threads are very sloppy internal and external.
This tool caused me nothing but grief and time. I barely got one power steering pump pulley removed before the threads were stripped out of the inside of the main puller shaft and the outside of one of the dual thread adapters. I also bent and broke one of the smooth adapters after it lodged inside the pump shaft and would not come back out. The should nut of the main pulley collar has rounding as if I used the wrong size wrench, but I didn't, this is just soft crap. Very disappointed with this tool. I had to run around and find someone local who could sell me a real Lyle puller so I could press the pulley back onto the new pump as this junk kept pulling itself off of the thread adapters as they are such a sloppy fit. Don't waste your money with this you will not be happy.Mark's garage.

It did the job but...
No instructions. You really need to hold the two cups on the pulley with a pipe clamp or chain vise grips. It worked to pull the power steering pump pulley off a 2005 Dodge Ram, but failed on another that was more seized. Overall, a waste of money
