Beautiful bench!
Absolutely, without a doubt, the most beautiful piece of furniture I've ever bought! Don't hesitate on the price... it is well worth it! It is very sturdy, but also easy to move! Now, I just have to decide what color to paint it, which is the most difficult part because it is so beautiful unfinished, too!

Solid Wood Church Pew

buyer beware....if attempting to stain
beautiful. however. after sanding and preconditioning as indicated by the stain manufacturer, there were MULTIPLE areas that literally repelled the stain. it appears that during construction of theses benches at the factory, some sort of glue or other repellant was dripped or rubbed onto the benches in random spots and no amount of sanding would allow the stain to penetrate, leaving a blotchy appearance. also there is a place where a person's back rests that literally was routered too thinly and caused a small hole all the way through. honestly the benches are a little too pricey for what they are. best left unfinished. as far as sturdiness, they are a good heavy wood, but creak loudly so not sure how sturdy.

Well made product
Avery well made product. I stained mine and finished with linseed oil. It came out beautifully! It does not look like a piece of furniture that you put together, but instead looks like a ready made church pew. If you are looking for a reasonably priced pew, send to your door I recommend giving this item a try.

This is a very sturdy piece of furniture. It is exactly what I was looking for. It comes unfinished so you can paint or stain it to match your decor. Very happy with this purchase. Also easy to assemble.
