Book 1 in the series and I loved it! There are definitely some cringy words used in the steamy parts of this book. I'm sorry, but it just made me giggle and roll my eyes when I read "sweet clam", however, it didn't take away from the story line, the sexual angst and the intensity between Jasper Blackstone and Holly Henderson...wowzers! That's maybe the only other thing I didn't love about the book was the repeating of the full name of Jasper Blackstone. I get she was trying to emphasize it, but it was a bit irritating. Overall, I loved the story line, loved the character building, the suspense, the "tension", the drama and all the twists and turns. I definitely recommend this book and I'm already half way through the second book and I can't get enough!

This book is full of intrigue and passion. A great read, where you won't want to put it down. It's great learning about each character

wowee, so Holly was asked by bff Bryn from their college days to Christmas to write a biography or uncover some secrets regarding her family, and let me say that this book has major secrets, like you scratch your head and want to punch something bad, secrets, but on the flip side, I know its super quick, along comes Jasper and sparks fly, and their chemistry is bam, didn't wait for a week or what.

I would have given this five stars, but the editing errors deemed I reduce my rating to four. Writers need to ensure they have a good editor in place to do justice to their work. The story is engaging and worth reading. However, I found the errors distracting. Thus the rating. I do look forward to reading the next book. I’ve already read Asher’s duet, so now I’m getting the full background story. I do recommend the book, just be prepared for the errors.
