Insane thrower for it's size!
Man does this thing throw some light! Very tight focused beam with almost no spill its like a white laser. It's not for everyone but living in a urban area I like being able to light up something at a distance without having any spill. It's not very practical for edc but definitely has its place. Awesome battery life and love the usb c charging port. I've yet to run it down far enough where it takes very long to charge it back up to full. I was finally able to really test its capabilites to the fullest by heading up to a lookout point at a local lake where there is almost no light pollution. I was absolutely amazed at how far it throws. It was actually able to reach the other side of the spillway. I only have two gripes and that is I wish they sold an 18650 battery tube not necessarily for better battery life but it would make it easier to hold...its slightly awkward because it's so short. I definitely recommend the lanyard it comes with. The other is there is a small amount of parasitic drain caused by the user interface. If you are regularly using and charging it this won't be an issue but if you plan to charge it and leave it in your car for a month and decide you need it this isn't the light for you. It's a very small amount of drain and wouldn't be an issue unless it's been a couple weeks. Overall super happy with this one!

I have seen the future, and it is bright
This thing is absurd, in a good way. It is small enough you could take it backpacking, and it has a throw distance and punch that even a full-sized light from just a few years ago couldn't possibly match.I have the full-sized version of the Catapult, and yes it is more powerful than this tiny little light. But the full-sized version is about 3x as large, and isn't anywhere near 3x as powerful, at least to my eyes. This is like the perfect light for your car or an emergency kit, because it is the power of a quite large and beastly flashlight from just a few years back in a very compact package. It won't last as long as the bigger lights with much bigger batteries, but it has another nice party trick: "firefly" mode which is normally so dim you can barely use it for anything, is quite useful on this light. If you think of firefly mode on this as equivalent to a mini Mag Light from back in the day, you aren't far off. So you get a normal flashlight with a very good run time in firefly, or this little pocket flamethrower of a thing if you need to crank it.The technology of flashlights seems to be improving so quickly that things most people would have thought impossible just a few years ago are not only possible but easily accessible.

This little light is spectacular! It has the quality of a much more expensive flashlight!

Great little thrower!
Wow, small, great thrower to have around the house. It's bright well made and easy to use. I'd probably not use it for work as I need the battery life to run a bit longer. If this came in a 21700 battery I'd love this for work. Just a slightly bigger frame and longer would make it easier to hold. I wish the high setting was closer to 8 or 9 hundred lumens but i understand the heating issue. But as is it's great. We'll done! Great car light as well small enough to throw in a door pocket. Had it for a a couple of months so far so good. Other than the size no complaints 👌🏽!

The beam might be visible from space.
Several things to note about this mighty little flashlight. First, its beam is ridiculously bright and will light up things a football field away. Second, it's tiny. Third, it charges on USB-C...but only USB-C that is USB to USBC. When the battery ran out, I tried to charge it via my Macbook Pro's USB-C charging cable. No dice. I reached out to ThruNite customer support, and they'd clearly seen the issue before. Got back to me within hours, explained the problem clearly, and that I should use the charging cable (other USB to USB-C cables work as well). So now I'm back to lighting up stuff way down the street while walking the dog.

Thrunite Catapult Mini
I own a fair number of mid to high end flashlights and in the short amount of time I've owned this little gem, it has quickly become my favorite. Whatever you do, DON'T underestimate it's power because of its size. This little pocketable flamethrower is simply amazing. I base my comparisons for brightness and throw on the candela output rather than the lumen rating alone. The candela output is basically the volume of light produced where the lumen rating is the intensity. Finding a balance between the two is the key. This little flashlight has a quite high candela output of nearly 90,000 candela with 680 lumens in turbo mode. This Thrunite Mini has a throw that puts many of my higher lumen rated flashlights to shame. I prefer flashlights with longer throw as opposed to a wider spill and this Mini throws a near laser-like beam out nearly 600 meters. I like that. The spot at distance is very well-defined. Also, the user interface is very easy to learn. It seems every manufacturer has their own interface and each one is different. Some are easier to learn, some are frustratingly difficult. This one can be picked up in a snap. It also has a lockout feature accessible through the interface rather than just partially unscrewing the base. For the money, I wish this little gem had been available years ago. That way I wouldn't have spent so much money on other, less impressive units. If you have any reservations about whether the information in the product description is factual, believe me, it is. This is the most impressive light I've purchased in years. One recommendation though, buy a spare 18350 battery. I have not needed it yet, but with a relatively small battery (basically half of an 18650) I figure for around $15, it's nice to have a backup.

Really does go 600 m and longer
I use a total station for work to layout slabs, columns, beams, etc for construction purposes. We use targets which are posted on opposing buildings to triangulate and set our machine. We go to work at 5:30 am to set up the station and shoot the targets. We have been having trouble seeing them in the dark, so I bought this flashlight to aid the process. This flashlight is literally a sunbeam, which is what I wanted, and it works so well. Now we can layout whatever we want no matter how dark it is. There is a building which is about 600 metres away and the flashlight reaches there.

Amazing mini thrower
Amazing mini torch. Build quality is great, and so is the feature set. Too expensive in the UK, you can buy this torch in the USA for 45 dollars, half the price.
