AltunaStewart 2166004 Garden Sieve, 36 cm-Dark Green, 36x10x1.8 cm

As I have a lot of compost piles and bins I thought this would come in handy.It worked really well for sitting in top of a potato bag and putting compost through so the mix wasn’t too massive for the potato shoots to grow through.Then I dug over a new area which was full of stones. Th least people to live here also left glass all through the garden and the new area was going to be for vegetables so I was keen to get out large pieces and broken glass.It worked a treat. Nice and sturdy for the job.

Larger than I expected but very sturdy and well made. The mesh is quite large however, so it doesn't sieve as finely as I was hoping. I'll keep it though, as it was the most affordable garden sieve I was able to find. Anyone who wants finely sieved compost should look for something with a smaller mesh though.

Needed to separate stones from earth so got this. For the price I thought it was worth a try and didn't expect much. Must have separated the equivalent of about 4 bags so saved money. It is fine for stones but too coarse for anything else.Really pleased.

Well packed arrived on time and I’m looking forward to clearing large areas of wild garlic. Instead of losing all the attached soil this is ideal so you don’t lose clumps of soli.

I have used it only four or five times, but the surrounding plastic has cracked from top to bottom in one place. I possibly put too much into the thing and shook it too hard, and it WAS cheap. I'm still using it by holding it by the cracked part, but I was very surprised that it should have damaged so easily. I think sieving out stones is too much for it. I'll go for something more metallic soon.
