Great little rescue rope, but not ready to go upon arrival!!
We bought this to take to the beach with a group of 8th graders when there was no life guard on duty (along with a throwable floatation device…so this was mainly for the rope). Although we didn’t need to rescue anyone, we did use this as a clothesline outside our cabin, and it became apparent that the rope was tangled up inside and would not flow freely in the event of an emergency. So Important note: practice taking the rope out and putting it back in the bag until you are confident that you’ve done it correctly. It could mean the difference between life and death!

Insurance and Hope We Never Need It!
I odered two of these to become permanent equipment in a pair of river float boats. Anyone going overboard on a river would be in trouble in a current. These look very well made and easy to use with instructions for throwing printed on the outside.

A smart investment
I bought this to keep in case of emergency and my first trip out with my girlfriends kayaking it was put to use. A friend and her daughter overturned and was hanging to a log. With help of my friends we were able to get them to safety.I am very thankful for my purchase. Everyone should keep one on their kayak or canoe.

Provides more safety in emergency situations.
Well constructed. Provides confidence when you have others on board that are not swimmers. Sometimes, tidal action is greater than anticipated and thos provides a quick way to "reel" them in.

good Stuff
This will work great for throw rope and or anchor recovery rope. The price for just 90 feet of Line by the foot at West Marine is about $120. This you get floating bag, grasp ring and rope for close to 1/3 of that

Good product
Seems decent quality, nice design. Like the hooks to hang it & it's compact. Putting it in the ice shack for the winter then will also take with us camping/kayaking in the summer by the pond. Hopefully I don't ever have to use it!
