Easy gift for the holidays
The media could not be loaded. I use my Apple watch every day and even while I sleep (try it; it's a much gentler alarm clock). So when this came out, I wanted to see how far I could take the features of my device even further. The pros:- easy to set up. Took me around 10-15 minutes (not counting the initial charge when you unbox it)- photos are fairly crisp for such small cameras. There are two dual HD cameras. One that faces you and one that faces away.- the video recordings also include sound (and not too shabby either; see my sample video footage above)- very lightweight. I was worried that it would feel incredibly bulky having two cameras attached to my wrist, but I had no problem exercising or working with it on my wrist.- Water resistant. I wore this while cooking and washing dishes, and splashes here and there were not an issueSome cons that don't take away from the product / service, but I wanted to nitpick because nothing's perfect:- upclose photos can be tricky to get in focus. This could more trial and error, honestly, but give it a few tries before giving up. I'm planning to test it out more.- App can feel clunky. I'm not the biggest fan of app-based products, but this one works for setting up, updating, and transferring photos. In the future, perhaps they could remove some of the promotional items from the app, but this is purely personal tasteAll in all, it's a really nice tech gift. I'm planning on purchasing more for family members who have apple watches. I think if you vlog or enjoy watersports, e.g., surfboarding or scuba diving, this can be pretty fantastic.

Worked once, then wouldn’t connect
TL; DR: Not good enough yet, but getting there. I’m returning this one, but maybe I’ll get the next generation.Update: This paired easily to my Ultra Apple Watch and worked great for a selfie video message one time.I bought one each for my bf and myself. We tried video chatting while both wearing our Wristcams, but it was awkward to have to hold our wrists up to our faces and rotate our arms and hold them up. My arm started getting tired quickly and the video quality was notably low.We switched to FaceTime on the phone within a couple of minutes because using the Wristcam for a video call with such a hassle, and my arm started getting tired really quickly from holding the Wristcam in just the right location and angle.I realized that, with only a 30 minute recording memory, I would not be using the Wristcam often or for much. However, I thought it would be a great tool to have on hand, so that I could start recording at a moments notice, just in case things happen like accidents or crazy attacks. That went out the window when my friend asked me about my Wristcam. She said, “Wow, is that a camera on your wrist?” I said, “Yeah, let me show you how it works.“ However, I could not get it to turn on. It says “connecting” with a full battery, but it won’t connect. The troubleshooting stuff listed on Amazon is a complete joke and totally did not apply. They talk about changing the battery in your watch!? Consumers are expressly forbidden from changing the batteries in their watch or their WristCam, so why do the troubleshooting directions tell you to do so?Pretty much all their troubleshooting faqs say to replace the battery or to restart your watch or phone. Totally ridiculous. I don’t need a website to tell me to restart my devices in a hundred different locations that all say the same thing.Original review:This band can’t possibly be acceptable to use in the ocean unless there are no waves! This band is just like the Nike sport band. I lost a watch in the ocean because I’d heard people wear their watches surfing and used Nike sport bands. My watch came off and disappeared with the first wave that broke over me while wearing the Nike sport band. This watch band uses the same closure design, so I will not be wearing it in the ocean. Having a video showing a person using this watch while on a surfboard is very deceptive. That makes it seem like this is a band that will stay on under pretty much any conditions, but there’s no way that can be true. I’m not going to risk losing another watch plus this expensive wrist camera by wearing it in the ocean. My second gripe is that this has only 30 minutes of recording time and the quality of the video call is much, much lower than what the ads show. However, the standby battery life is really good. I’ve only used this once, and the standby battery life lasts several days without charging. Edit: now I’m not so sure about that because I can’t get it to work at all even though it says it has a full battery.I found it hard to use this camera to film myself. The video call quality is also extremely misrepresented as being much better than it really is. The ads make it look as clear as FaceTime, but it’s not. It’s not even close. The video quality is like something from the early 80’s.At first, I felt better thinking that if I needed to record something really quickly or discreetly, I would be able to do it with this. I got one for my man, too, because we’ve found that even a short video can be a lifesaver in times of duress.First Overall Impression: I recommend only because there is not anything better out yet. Conclusion after using it once, letting be idle for a few weeks, then trying to use it again: This is a total waste of money and time. I don’t mind paying top dollar for something, but it needs to work properly and have great ease of use. It might be that there is some user error occurring here, but if it’s going to be this difficult to use every time, then it’s not intuitively designed, and that’s the fault of the device, not the user.Bottom line: I do not recommend!

Saw this and had to have it
I am absolutely loving the Wristcam with my Apple Watch series 5. I saw someone with this and thought it was genius. After getting my hands on my Wristcam, I can emphatically say that genius is an understatement.I am with my family A LOT. One thing that I noticed since the pandemic, I didn't take a lot of pictures of the family. Now that we're starting to return to the new normal, I want to make up for it. It's so awesome to be able to take a picture in the moment WITHOUT UNLOCKING MY PHONE. Here's where it came in handy:1. Taking a dinner photo with my kids. They are usually annoyed when I ask for a photo so every second counts. Start the Wristcam app on my watch and take a photo. Less than 3 seconds. The Camera App on my phone takes many more steps.2. Take a photo of the lawn outside to remind myself that I need to apply fertilizer. Yes, I really did this today.3. Record a video to myself to add something to the Shopping List since I didn't have a pen on me and was in the middle of something.I really appreciate the effort that Wristcam put into design:- The strap hardware is really well integrated with the Apple Watch design. It's obviously bigger than a normal watch strap, but not bulky, so I don't notice that it's there when I'm not using it.- It has its own battery, which means an extra charger, but the Wristcam charger has a complimentary profile so that it does not obstruct the Apple Watch charger, making it easier to charge both at the same time.- The software is visually beautiful and very intuitive. The onscreen guides help the user set all of their permissions so that the unit works seamlessly with the latest version iOS (14.6) and WatchOS (7.5). This is the best onboarding experience that I have seen.If you're looking for a fun and functional gadget to pair with your Apple Watch, you have to get the Wristcam.

Doesn’t Worth it
It is so slow when i take a video it’s moving so slow. I have refunded the watch and took so long to get my refund. It’s the worst experience I’ve so far with Amazon :)
