HolbeinArtists Watercolor - Shell Pink 5ml

This is one of the best professional watercolor paints that I have ever used! In watercolor, I paint mostly florals. If you love painting florals the way that I do; this is a must have, go to color! It is also useful for skin tones. It’s simply GORGEOUS! It is rich, buttery and creamy beyond belief. It mixes well with other colors and other brands. It dissolves, blends and lifts perfectly. One of the most important aspects of this paint is that you only need the size of a pinhead for most petals if not full flowers; depending on how big your flower is! I have read negative reviews concerning the small size of the tube. Pay no attention to those because the quality that you are getting far exceeds anything else! I highly recommend this to any professional watercolorist or even to a non-professional who would like to see their work looking better using a higher grade of paint! It is worth the money you pay. You can’t really put a price on such beauty!

The perfect shade of pink. No matter how hard I try I can never mix my colors to get this shade - so this is the perfect option. It goes on quite sheer and the color does not seem to fade. I had never heard of this brand until I found this color, but now that I have - I will look for more of their paints.

I loved this color its very pigmented but it is true to the color of tube and its very light pretty pink. Great quality paint.

I love this color and you just can't get it by mixing the two pigments since the orange pigment varies within the paint companies. Maybe if I used Holbein pigments I'd get the color but this is perfect. Next time, I'll buy a larger size.

Great pigment load and very smooth. Not the greatest spread, but that's because Holbein paints do not use large amounts of ox gall in their paints. Slightly opaque due to the presence of white in the color, but nothing too trouble. A softer shade of pink than shown. Makes a great base for a flesh tone or pink flowers.

I've heard a lot about this pink and it lived up to the hype!

Be aware that this colour is opaque(ish) It doesn't make a wash easily. Nice colour though. Maybe useful as a mix for portraits.
