I wish I had one of these
I bought this as a gift for a new mom. When I was thumbing through the pages, I thought I wish I would have had one of these 25 years ago. The writing prompts are real talk and I can see how they would be a great way to self care through the chaos of change after having a baby.

True Inspiration
Oh how I wish I had found this when I first became a mother. I purchased these as gifts for my sister and a colleague who are going to be moms (again) and as I read through the pages of the book, tears came to my eyes just thinking of all the healing that will happen when someone reads and truly takes to heart this simple yet powerful self-care and self-love practice. What a gift this book is to the moms out there doing the hard work of momming! And I truly hope anyone who comes across this book will read it for themselves.

Fantastic journal!
This is the absolute best resource for new parents! When I opened the journal for the first time, I didn’t know exactly what to expect. I thought it might be filled with some unrealistic goals for new parents to try and achieve. No way! This helps you understand what you need, how to ask for help, and how to make that happen. I sure wish that I had this resource when I was having my babies, and I can’t wait to gift this to the special mama in my life. ❤️❤️

Amazing Resource
This journal is an amazing resource for any new mom! The prompts are encouraging, and demonstrate insight into physical, mental and emotional well-being in the postpartum period. It inspires peace, relaxation and connection between the mind and body. I wish I had this resource when I had my 3 kiddos!

Comforting journal for new mom
This book feels so warm and comforting as I settle in with it. It is genuine about acknowledging the struggle along with the beauty of motherhood. It creates a safe space to write down all of the thoughts that come up while processing being a new mama.

Thoughtful and worthwhile
When you’ve just given birth for the first time, your mind and heart are swirling with thoughts and emotions that you want to savor and reflect on … if only you were getting more than 3 hours of sleep in a row.You will remember snippets — joy, bonding with baby and partner, and even the inevitable exploding diaper — but writing thoughts down, even as brief points to flesh out later is a wonderful gift to yourself and your loved ones. This book is gentle and thoughtful, and well suited to being a thought prompt and landing pad, whether you have 5 minutes or amazingly an hour on any given day to dip in.I would have loved a book like this. My journals from the days and months after our children were born were rather thin and scattershot, and yet I treasure them. There would have been so much more of the immediacy if I’d had a writing companion like this one.

Quick to the point and so powerful
I am currently 61 days postpartum with my first child. I have to admit I was hesitant to pick up yet another book. I am so overwhelmed with information on breast feeding, child development, etc. I thought this would be just another chore. But I was so wrong. This book is so accessible and succinct. It can be picked up at any moment in the day to recenter you in yourself and remind you to take care of not only your baby but yourself as well.Being a new mom is so overwhelming and exhausting. You hardly have time to eat or shower at the beginning. I was feeling really run down and tired and wondered if I'd ever find time again to take care of myself. Then I remembered Kim's book. I picked it up at flipped to day 56 and was greeted by a very easy prompt for journeying and some recommended ways to take care of myself. Just seeing those self-care items made me remember that I had to look after myself in order to be there for my family. I felt like it gave me permission to take care of myself. It is easy to feel guilty about taking time out for yourself when you are a new mom and this book reminded me that to take care of myself is to take care of my family.I really enjoy the journal prompts which I do quickly at night or in the morning. It helps me re-frame my experience and create a narrative that is supportive and encouraging around motherhood. Now that I am two months through the first 90 days, I'm going to go back to the beginning of the book and start again.I would recommend this book to any new parent, first time or not.Full disclosure- I was given an advance review copy by the publisher

A lovely book and much needed
This book is just the thing to add to your gift for a baby shower, or if you're expecting, to have on hand for those months after birth. When you have a baby, those precious months go by so quickly when your baby is closest to you and depends on you for everything. It's easy to get incredibly stressed and before you know it, that baby is walking and talking. This book helps new moms remember to slow down and care for themselves with thought-provoking writing prompts and a check-in with gentle reminders to stay connected with others and ask for help. It's a beautiful book and I wish I'd had this after giving birth.
