I should have listened to the majority of other reviewers. The battery just doesn't have the power to sustain a string of 10 lights for a reasonable length of time. I followed instructions carefully and ensured the batteries were fully charged for a 72 hour period. Then turned them on and enjoyed one set for about an hour and a half and the second set for only 30 minutes. On the other hand the shades are attractive, both day and night and seem to be sturdy enough to last a couple of seasons. I think I'm going to find a string of AC powered white LED's and restring the lanterns to them. If you want solar, don't waste your time or money.

These lights are pretty cool.Pros: They worked and lasted even with a severe beating. I duct taped these things onto a golf cart that I used for 3 weeks. The solar power thing was taped on the roof. The lights magically knew to turn on at just about past dusk and lasted all night. They lived through rough golf cart riding, wind and rain.Cons: takes a while to get the paper lanterns onto the plastic parts. And I think the light string must have developed some sort of short due to the bouncing around all the time because they blinked completely randomly. but they survived/worked!

Love these, I still have them. A little difficult to set up and the solar hook up is a little rinky dink. I re purposed them using a dedicated power line. I was even sent a second solar hook up, but it is not reliable. I have tried to use it for other applications with mixed results. For the money, it is not a horrible deal but I probably would not purchase again.

This is a great little set which I've used a couple of times now. They are a bit tricky to put together but with a little patience it's no problem. I have a few larger single solar lanterns that I've had for years and work great, I hope I have similar luck with these! They're so cute I might just have to buy another set!!

These are cute little lights. A little smaller then what the picture made think. Although it was clear in product description so I wasn't surprised. They are not bright lights. That did surprise me, they are very dim. Still sweet little lights and the price was right.

I love these. The give a nice quiet glow. I have them up in my gazebo and I love the way they look. I've had no problems with them and they seem to hold their color better than some. They aren't reading lights. They are soft decorative lighting that I use around the edges of my area.

I purchased two strings of similar lights from a local store and loved them, so bought three more to finish lighting my porch. I've been very disappointed in how these have functioned. I paid less and had to assemble them myself, which was fine by me. The glow of the lights is slightly blue, which is a little different from the others I bought (which are pure white glow) but that was no problem.However, each night maybe 1 of the 3 strands I bought actually lights up, and I've tried several adjustments unsuccessfully. They're positioned exactly like the other lights I've bought which work with no problem. This late in the summer I'll probably just take down these three I bought as they're not doing any good.
