I’m a fan of brine shrimp, also known as Sea Monkeys, and I’d decided it was time to upgrade to a larger set up. During my research into setting it up, I learned that sand was best because gravel can actually trap the little guys. So, I bought this. Now, you will probably want to (read: SHOULD) rinse this stuff if you’re using it for an aquarium, as there are small bits of debris that will pop up to the surface of your tank that you will need to skim if you don’t. I really enjoy the natural look of it though, and it helps make them a little more comfortable in their environment, because even if they are just brine shrimp, I love my little Sea Monkeys.

Believe it or not, this product was infact aquarium sand, not one bit of pirate gold or hidden Templar treasure to be found, but the sand was useful for crafts.

Received a bag of fine, fine sand that looks absolutely NOTHING like the pictures, not even the same color and it stinks so incredibly bad! Will definitely be returning.

Has traces of copper and other heavy metals, killed all of my Cherry shrimps and snails in aquarium
