Good price for quality film
We bought the mirror safety glass version, and it works great - can't see in AT ALL during the day - but at night, you can, so keep that in mind - whichever side of the glass has the brighter light, will be blocked/mirrored.We used this on our sliding glass door, and followed the directions to the T, even using the few drops of baby shampoo to create the installation spray.Don't get me wrong, it can be a PITA to install, but I did the first pane entirely by myself, and it wasn't too bad. Plan ahead, clean the window well, mix the solution as described, remove the protective film on the adhesive side as described, and soak the glass AND film. Here's my additional installation reccos:The protective layer is attached to the side of the film that goes on the window!Definitely cut two inches larger than needed on all sides;Don't try to align a factory edge with your window edge - chances are one or both are slightly off, or even that the glass/frame is slightly out of square;Line up some rags or paper towels along the bottom of the glass;Soak the glass with the solution, and peel back the first foot of your film and soak it;Install from the top down - believe it or not, the film will stick with the solution, even if you only peeled back a portion of the protective layer;Continue peeling the protective layer down and spraying the film and pressing on the glass as you go until you're doneImmediately use the felt side of the squeegee they provide, to do the initial fit/press;Immediately flip the squeegee to the other hard side, and use it as a guide to press the film into the edge of the glass/frame, and guide the razor to make your final cuts;Don't wait after the cuts, continue squeegeeing all the bubbles out with the hard edge now - if you wait, your solution will dry and it will get hard to do the longer you wait;Check from the inside and out for air bubble glares/reflections - it can be hard to see them.

Needs some care installing, doesn't look good at first, much more private & secure once installed!
I has hoping to add a good bit of privacy & security to my ground-floor, public-accessible windows, and this mirrored security window film looked to be a good solution. Can't speak personally to the security aspect (don't know for sure how well this will hold my windows together in any real break-in attempt, and I really hope I never find out), but assuming it performs as advertised I do feel much less anxious about my public-accessible windows: I felt they really needed some additional security and this is the best I can think of for that, short of metal window bars (which I really don't care for, aesthetically, anyway).I *can* speak to the privacy aspect, post-installation: the mirror finish absolutely prevents view indoors during the daytime, which is a life-changer for me, as it enables me to open my window blinds during the day; which is something I was not at all comfortable doing previously in the presence of regular pedestrian traffic right outside. With film installed, now knowing there is no view in from outside, I can have my own view out during the day in complete comfort. Nice! (N.B., in direct sunlight through the windows onto your rooms, or at night with lights on indoors after dark, there is enough light coming back out that people outside *can* see inside very well - so, in those situations you will have to close your window blinds to retain your privacy, but otherwise you're invisible inside) As a couple other reviewers have also noticed, it's amusing to see passerby stop and adjust their hair or outfit in the reflection on your window, completely unaware you're there behind them watching them do it - harmless free entertainment, as a bonus.I've installed this film on about a dozen ground-floor windows, and I can say while installing it is not particularly difficult, you do have to exercise some care, as once the film is separated from its backing, touching anything other than the window may smudge the film adhesive, possibly for good (and, God forbid, you let any dust or lint touch the inside of the film before you get it on your window, congratulations - that's there permanently). Keeping that risk in mind, however, it should be easy to be careful enough to avoid that almost completely. One thing that surprised me, that I've never seen mentioned in reviews or the product descriptions, is how awful the film looks once it's just been installed - even having carefully smoothed out all air bubbles & trimmed the film to fit, there remain fluid bubbles and smudges in the installed film (especially if you've had to reposition it at all while installing, to fit well or to squeeze out any few remaining trapped air bubbles) which, frankly, look terrible. If you believed that is how your treated windows would look from then on, you would think that this is an awful product (even if, you now have the privacy & security benefits you were looking for in the first place).HOWEVER, what amazes me that nobody has pointed out anywhere is, that almost all of these initial visual defects are actually *temporary*: over 1-3 weeks after installation, the fluid bubbles will slowly evaporate & the adhesive smudges will slowly "settle" as the film sets, and after that you will end up with an almost completely clear and fully transparent window. Because I didn't know this when I started, I was for a while extremely disappointed at the results of my install, thinking that these initial optical defects were permanent and that I'd just have to live with them; instead, as they slowly cleared over time, I ended up much relieved, and far more satisfied with my final results. I kept thinking, this *really* should have been mentioned in the instruction sheet or product description, so that beginner installers like me would not suffer the temporary deep disappointment as I did, not knowing how much clearer & better this film would look, after it has fully dried and settled in place. If you're looking for a good security & privacy addition to your public-accessible/viewable windows, I can recommend this mirror film; just take a bit of care installing & have a little patience for your final, finished results, and chances are good you'll be very happy with your newly private & (hopefully) more secure windows!

Garbage
Who would a thought one-way mirror film means the film flip flops it's mirror effect depending which side has more lumens. One way, in logical comprehension means it's mirrored one way...always... You dont drive your vehicle down a one way street and then at night time do a magic trick and reverse the way of travel. This honestly really irritates me and wasted my money that I earned to purchase items I need for me and to ease my life. It a crock of bull I lose my cash asset in exchange for a useless product that deceives customers.

Not sure yet.
Well I got the product and installed it. It does work it does cover. I did get all the air bubbles out but now my windows look dirty. It's from the soap mixture on the window and now under the window film on my window. I cannot clean it. So yes it works but my view is not as clear because of the film the soap water left on the window under the window film I applied.
