I really like this scanner. I read the reviews that said it didn't scan well or if you went too fast it didn't work well. I never have had any issues at all. For me it has worked great and its easy to use.

Bought this product as gadget and keep it inhome storaged until I recently unpacked and and try to use it,,, load with new fresh batteries turn it on and it light on, but did not work !!! then it light off and got defenelly dead.... a waste of my money ,,, hate it that return policy is due time ago....

Nice job but I would recommend the stand alone photo scanner if you are looking to digitize old photos. Works well on documents though.

Once you figure out how to use it (the instructions were poorly written in super-tiny print), the scanner produces great quality images. I purchased it to scan hundreds of cards and letters. However, it will take me months to complete the process. Scanning must be slow, steady, and even. You have to be careful about edges and scan beyond them to ensure that all words/images are captured. Surface must also be flat and even (i.e., cannot scan with a magazine under the item, but need to scan on a table or counter top). After several trial-and-error scans, I got the hang of it. Easy to use, excellent quality, and a good Amazon price.....All you need is time.

Scanner works great. It takes some time to get the hang of using the unit but the end results are worth the trouble. The only downside, it helps to have a document program like Adobe for resizing and eliminating unwanted material along edges that gets included.

Scanner does not light up, does not scan, no images. B.t.w. product arrived unprotected in a ruptured envelope without padding. Clunker.

This is nice for making quick copies of documents. But don't expect quality photos, because when you get to the edge of the paper, there is always some movement which distorts the image. Also, the icons on the display are so small that they are almost impossible to read.

The Skypix scanner provides us with ultra-portable, high quality copies. We use it to capture genealogy documents that can not be easily placed in a copy machine. Simple to use. Excellent price
