Momentous thriller and more...
And words as nocturnal animals?“, how print fastens ephemeral words to the page like flattened animals on the road, so that you can go back and inspect them in their non sequitur,…”Thanks so much to whatever ‘wilderness angel’ out there put me on to this significant work of fiction, thus strengthening my fearless faith in the passion of each reading moment. The detailed review of this book posted elsewhere under my name is too long or impractical to post here.Above is its conclusion.

I loved this book and told many friends about it after reading it. I found myself thinking about it for months after reading it. Suddenly out of no-where pieces of it would come back to me and give me the chills. I subsequently saw the film Noctural Animals and, as often happens, while I found the movie was excellent and extremely stylish, I enjoyed the book a bit more. It is a dark read but very well done. Enjoy!

DIFFERENT FORMAT
This is two novels in one.The outer novel is about Susan,Edward and Arnold, the inner novel is about Tony, and a variety of characters both dubious and otherwise. It moves along quite well, and the different format did appeal.I found the end rather disappointing.I do not know quite what I expected, but it seemed rather like a damp squib. It is one pof those books once read you would not particularly want to read it again, however long the gapI had not heard of the author previously, but read a review of the book, and it seemed quite interesting.I am not sure it claims as a masterpiece are justified, but it was an enjoyable read nonetheless.

Best book I've read in ages.
If I was a literary academic I could give this a much better review. The style of writing is different and jarred for the first chapter but then became one of the best characteristics of the book. Suffice to say the book called to me in my sleep and o woke up at 3am to read some more.

I was surprised they made a film based on the story...
A boring story with characters you can't relate to.

Enjoyed but was left wanting more.
I read this book as it was recommended by a number of people however I did feel disappointed with the ending. The book begins well it is engaging and instantly grabs your attention with an opening which is full of suspense and danger. However I felt that after the first section the plot dragged too much and the ending was far too detached and surreal for my liking. After building up to the climax I felt let down with numerous questions left unanswered. This would not be a book that I would chose again.
