FGO Organic Freeze-Dried Camu Powder, 100% Raw From Brazil, 3.5oz (Pack of 1)

I Loved the Sweet Tart Flavor, better than other brands I tried.

After hearing Camu Camu offered a strong natural concentration of Vitamin C, I started using another brand that comes in two 3.5 oz packages. It worked fine (could feel the C effects including loose stools that happen once the body has absorbed all the C it can), but was brown, dry and powdery with only the vaguest hint of a berry taste.Intrigued that the FGO was freeze dried and actually had a natural berry color, I ordered the 7 oz size. I haven't measured it, but the one 7 oz package was absolutely full and seemed to have much more than the other brands 2 3.5 oz packages put together.More importantly the contents seemed very fresh and gave my morning smoothy (matcha powder, carob powder, cocoa nibs, camu banana, oat milk and blended ice) a nice fruity taste. And the vitamin C effect was palpable and also evident when I used a bit too much (if you catch my drift). Not a problem and actually great for the morning cleanse that I used to get with coffee.Of course this effect goes away when you get the portion right. I'd say start with 1/4 teaspoon and go up from there. But for those with constipation (going less than at least once a day), look no further. Again this has nothing to do with the Camu, but with it's vitamin C content. I've taken care of constipation over the years by O.D'ing on vitamin C from various sources. It's the healthiest way IMHO.

This freeze-dried camu camu berry powder is nothing short of wonderful! The cherry-sized berries contain more vitamin C than acerola berries, and that says a lot. One teaspoon of this amazing powder provides 1180% of the recommended daily allowance of vitamin C. And if you are experiencing gut issues or need to boost your immune system, this supplement should absolutely be included in your daily arsenal of immune system builders.I usually incorporate this powder into a breakfast smoothie or a simple glass of water at the start of my day. I prefer to take it on an empty stomach so that my gut can reap the full benefits of the vitamin C. Additionally, since I’ve been taking the camu camu powder daily, I’ve been experiencing clearer thinking and less brain fog, so, in my book, this is totally a win-win situation! My energy level has increased, too, and I definitely feel more peppy after taking this supplement.The fact that this powder is freeze dried is also extremely important, since freeze drying protects the nutritional value of these healthy berries. Another plus is that the packaging is not made of plastic, which usually breaks down and zaps the nutrition from most foods. Instead, FGO uses natural bags that are resealable and that protect the phytonutrients that these berries contain. And, for those who, like me, are always searching for the healthiest foods available, please take note: This powder is certified organic and Non-GMO. Need I say more?However, I haven’t talked about the flavor yet. It is quite tart and not at all sweet, so when adding the powder to smoothies, it’s a good idea to add some honey or bananas to sweeten the drink to your liking. But, in a nutshell, I would say that this product is absolutely worth five stars.

Update: The latest batch is a weird bright pink color. It looks nothing like the color of actual camu camu berries and I am concerned about taking it as I don't know what it is.Update 2: According to the company they are using a new process for freeze drying that results in the pink color. I will continue using it and hope to continue seeing the same results that I have had for the past year.I do very much appreciate that the company responded to my email within a few hours.------Original review:I've been taking this almost every day for 2 months (since the end of November). I believe it is what has kept me from getting sick this winter in spite of being around plenty of sick people and forgoing a flu shot.Working from home for years has made my immune system pretty lazy so usually when I am around sick people, it's pretty much guaranteed I'll get sick too. However, last week I took an international flight, 6.5 hours going and 8+ hours back, and both ways it seemed absolutely everyone on board was coughing the most phlegmmy coughs imaginable. It's likely that the combination of these powders has boosted my immune system but I believe that the Camu Camu powder has had the most significant impact due to it's high vitamin C content. It also gives a nice energy boost in the morning.The taste isn't great but it's for your health, not your palate. I just throw it back and chase it with plain water.

This Camu is absolutely perfect for me. The weight is exact and delivery very fast. Alovitox products are excellent. Healthy for my salads and smoothies. I used it almost everyday. I read about camu camu and boy it has a lot of benefits. It taste somewhat bitter and sour. It tells me this is the real deal. Try it. This is my 2nd order, first one came in bright colour the 2nd order came much darker, not sure if that’s will effect product quality???

I love this product as it's so good for you, comes quickly the price is extremely cheap for the product quality and amount. This super food powder tastes SO good. I love it. I order the other flavors as well.

I add a tsp of this to my smoothies daily for an immunity boost. Love the smell and when added to a smoothie there is no detectable taste. I haven't noticed any major changes since taking it, but will continue to add that tsp daily for the vitamin c boost if nothing else!

Love the paper packaging and easy resealable bag. Received it quickly, have only used it for a few days but the taste is okay. I add it to my smoothies and oatmeal. The expiry date is good also. This size will last me for quite awhile.
