This book has been a lifesaver. Filled with some great information about wedding planning. Made sturdy and arrived on time. I have used this a lot since I started planning my wedding.

Loved how comprehensive this guide was and one could use it for a number of different styles of wedding.The sections explain everything, including the things you won’t think of, very clearly and it helps you to make good decisions quickly. It saved me so much time as I wasn’t googling every little detail and could get a good answer fast.

This book holds a wealth of information on the many aspects of wedding planning, including questions to ask while interviewing vendors, how to deal with difficult wedding party members, creating a planning timeline, and more. The etiquette suggestions are traditional and some may seem old-fashioned. The thoroughness of the content is a blessing and a curse. The amount of detail and book’s length could be overwhelming.

This book has been a God-send. I bought a few other books right after getting engaged and this is the only one I reference. I am the first of my siblings and closest friends to get married and have only been to a handful of weddings so I literally didn’t know anything. This book breaks everything down for you: when to book each vendor, what questions to ask (I always keep this book on hand during potential vendor calls), and then the basics like in what order the bridal party typically walks down the aisle and goes to the level of detail that it explains all the types of bustles you can add to your wedding dress. (That’s a great example - I had no idea a bustle was pretty much required for ease of dancing until I read this book).The writer clearly has planned weddings for some very wealthy people and my budget is pretty average, but I still found the advice helpful and she does give you tips on what you can cut to save money in different areas.I can’t recommend it enough and will be giving this as a gift to any friend or family member who becomes engaged in the future!Note: there is a smallish planning section with checklists, charts, etc. at the back of the book. I do all of my planning in Excel and using The Knot’s wedding planning tools because I prefer that to paper, so I can’t really review that section of the book.

It has everything you can think of for that special day, good to have as wedding planner or if you are planning your own wedding

This has everything you need, all in one! Planning a wedding is already overwhelming, which did not improve when I started the search online and the vast amounts of information and "advice" was elevating my anxiety and stress. Since I have purchased this book, all the extra online research has stopped, their just is no need. This book literally covers everything and more, and all from one of the most well-renowned wedding and events planner in the industry. I certainly do not have the budget as some of the weddings she has catered to, but that is just it her book and advice is tailored for everyone. Her advice has saved me many a headache but most importantly simplified the planning, and made it exciting and enjoyable.

Ich habe das Buch als Geschenk für meine Freundin gekauft nachdem sie mir erzählt hat dass sie sich verlobt hat. Obwohl ich das Buch nicht als gebrauchte Version gekauft habe kam es "schmutzig" an und sah gebraucht aus was sehr schade ist da es sich ja um ein Geschenk handeln sollte

True wedding bible!

Of the two books I bought this was the most useful for helping to think through a wedding in the UK. In truth it's geared more towards a more extravagant wedding than our laid back beach wedding. But provides useful tick lists to complete to ease the inevitable forthcoming insomia! Moral of the story - probably surplus to requirements but it felt good just to see it on the coffee table!
