3 month update!Beware of this product. Although, it's a very good product..did a blood test for our doggie at her Vet. Her Calcium levels were extremely high. I noticed our doggie drinking excessive amount of water for the past 2wks to the point she was waking up to drink a bowl. Not like her. Took her to her Vet..wanting liver & kidney test done. As I felt, her liver was elevated +37 from 3 months prior. (160 to 197) which 160 was not bad at all just an alert to do preventive measure. Some dogs are known to have levels 600-3000. But anyways..This is the timeframe I started giving our doggie this product. I've never went above recommended dosage. We only used one little spoon (included) everyday. This was the only product I can think of that has made excessive about of Calcium in her body. I homecook and never had a problem with her diet before. Take it from someone who takes her dogs every 3-6 months blood test if I notice something. We take our doggies for 1 yr check ups every year X-rays and blood. Please take it from some who has a very good relationship with our Vet. They know our doggies. We home cook, no flea meds for the last 5 yrs (haven't had a problem with fleas in 5yrs) female dog isn't neutered..our dogs are simply natural our Pitbull is going on 9 but still looks young!Yes it takes a lot of work but thru Gods grace and knowledge our doggies not get sick and don't get any fleas. With that being said..we care enough to let someone know IF you decide to buy this product be very mindful it could give a Calcium overload. Future wise, I think we're only going to give 1x -2x weekly not everyday. If I didn't take my doggie and haven't been proactive she could have kidney failure. Just be careful..Hope this helps someone.

I only began using this product a few days ago but was wondering if I made the right decision after reading a review about the detrimental effects of the calcium additive. So I did a little investigating and found out it only contains .625 mg/scoop. I also found out the dry food I’m using contains 1310 mg/cup so the amount of calcium in Novity isn’t even relevant. Size, age, health, and diet (food, treats) can all impact how much calcium is needed or harmful to your pet but this product contains an insignificant amount. I’ve always included Glucosamine, Chondroitin, and MSM supplements and fish oil, which have helped my German Shepherds over the years, some of whom have had DM and hip dysplasia. This product can help pain management and keep them active and is so easy add to their food—no crushing large pills and getting them to eat a chalky product that doesn’t taste or smell right. I’ve also tried the all-in-one but the pump clogged after a single use and it was a mess. I love that Novity also includes natural, powerful healers like sea Coral Calcium with 74 natural minerals, Spirulina, Organic Turmeric, Green Algae Kelp, Nucleotides & PSB Complex Enzymes. My 4 lb Yorkie was suffering with a luxating patella.The vet said she needed surgery.That's when our search for a good glucosamine product began.The chewable ones were a bust, the gagging and spitting them on the floor. This was recommended by many people in a retired racing greyhound group. I’m familiar with the ingredients used in this and was willing to give it a try. My four greyhounds are all seniors now, which the oldest, Valley, being ten. I started noticing that Valley seemed a little stiff in the mornings and was concerned about arthritis. I talked with her doctor and came up with a plan that’s good for all of them. I started sprinkling this on their food twice a day along with Nordic Naturals omega supplement. I have noticed a big difference in Miss Valley! She’s back to being my prancing princess in the mornings and I couldn’t be happier!! My only concern is the spoon that comes with the jar. It’s hard to get a level spoonful without the powder going everywhere! I am now ordering my third jar, so that says something!

My 10 year old cat has recently slowed down a lot. The less active she was, the more overweight she became. Finally I could see that she was in pain to lie down or stand up.
