Works great and Easy to Use
I used Pond Worx on our two and a half acre east Kansas pond last August 2022 on the recommendation of pond ecology specialist The Oklahoma Pond Lady Amie Robison. As you can see from the before pic algae and blue green algae were out of control. Our shoreline plants were disappearing and with the heat we were worried about a fish kill. Not to mention that our dog likes to get in the pond and BGA can make animals sick or even kill them. Pond Worx was so easy to use. I just put on knee high boots and waded out at different points around the pond and poured it in. Within a month we started seeing improvement and by the end of two months the results were astonishing. The before and after pictures are from the same spot two months apart and you can see how amazing the difference. This spring the product was still going strong with the water showing a degree of clarity we had not seen in years. This allowed our bass, crappie and bluegill to spawn out in deeper water which saved them from heat stress mortality in our hot dry spring (2023). And our aquatic shoreline plants are back and better than ever. After the big initial dose (eight gallons spread over a month and a half) all we have to do now is put in a jug every month or so while the weather is warm (4-5 months a year around here) to keep the biosystem rolling along so it is very cost effective. If farm or lawn fertilizer run off is causing algal bloom sickness in your pond use Pond Worx to naturally restore balance and complexity to your blue space environment.

Worked well for my pond - better than Microbe Lift - Prof
I have 2,200 Gal pond with eight large KOI's, normally water is kept around 1,600 - 1,800 Gal. There are two 75 Gal wells as primary and secondary mechanical + biological filter as there are Matala filters + 6 Gal of K3 Filter media in there. Both wells are constantly aerated ensure full circulation and to help those bacteria breath a little better. Then another 3500 AquaScape filter + 28W UV and another external 36W UV.For the past 3 years, I've been using Microbe Lift Prof - with a kind of hit and miss result. Hit - during the period where there was less leaves (main culprit is pine needles). Miss - when there were more leaves. As a result, I would have a few weeks of crystal clear water then slowly murky from sludge after 4 weeks . . by the time it hit 6-8 weeks, I must change 30% - 40% of water. Even at this maintenance routine, I began to have green algae growing thicker on all pond walls and water began to turn light green. The foamy gunk is becoming more of an eye soar, . . . I realized that to get out of this cycle, I need to try something different.Having read a lot of reviews, I decided to give Pond Worx a try toward end of April'19. I use a a slightly higher dose than recommended, i.e., first time 16 oz, then 8 - 10 oz. weekly.- First 3 weeks - - I pour Pond Worx in the main part of the pond (where the KOI's are). It does not turn crystal clear yet but it did not get worse either. I review more reviews of Pond Worx and see someone saying the bacteria need good aeration to get better result, so, I gave it a try.- I added Pond Works to the 2 wells instead. Then, turned off the pump and let it sit aerated there for 3-4 hrs (or longer). Then turn on the pump. Within 5 days, the pond became crystal clear. Foamy gunk is still there but much less.I have maintain this weekly routine for another 6 weeks and the water is now crystal clear, algae on the walls are almost gone. So far, from W1 - W9, I did not do any major Water change. Just add more refill to replenish those the evaporated during the the very hot month of June.So far, I'm quite satisfy with this product and about to re-order.

Working great so far after 4 applications on 1/2 acre pond
First off understand what this product is and is not. It is a beneficial bacteria that reduces muck and other extra nutrients in your pond. If you have algae mats at the surface or below, bacteria won't kill the algae, it will compete for the nutrients in the pond. If you have a shallow pond with lots of extra nutrients (lawn fertilizer runoff, grass clippings, leaves, fish, geese) this is a tool to help turn the tide against the nutrients that feed algae and undesireable plants. It is also going to work best if you have an aeration system.I feel that this has greatly helped our 1/2 acre neighborhood pond. In 2 weeks I saw a large improvement in clarity of the water and have continued to physically remove the filamentous algae as much as possible. I can see the bottom of the pond in areas I've never seen bottom before. Neighbors have all commented on the clarity of the water and are impressed with the results. The largemouth bass have shown to be very healthy and have beautiful markings and lateral lines where in years before they have been pale from cloudy/dirty water. Our water temperature has been between 50-65 degrees during the last 4 weeks of treatment. With overnight lows I have shied away from treating with algaecides (chelated copper sulphate). And I know that once I do the copper treatment I will basically kill off all the bacteria and have to reapply in a few days following the copper treatment.I look forward to continued use of the bacteria and hopefully will reduce the need to rely on algaecides the more I reduce the nutrient load. From what I have seen I feel confident that paired with carefully timed algaecide treatment we will have a much cleaner and healthier pond. I will update later in the season and hopefully show the results.
