Much brighter than standard fluorescent
Installed in garage in 2, 2 bulb 4 foot old fluorescent fixtures. Easy to rewire and pull out old ballasts. Make sure you don’t have “shunted” tombstones or you have a bigger job. Twice as light as the old bulbs and instant on.

Super easy installation
These were way easy to install after watching a YouTube video. I took out the Ballester and rerouted the wiring and they work great.

Not an easy installation
Two problems with these tubes: 1. They are glass. When opening my last order of a 4 pack, all were shattered. Not just broken, but glass all over the place. Luckily I opened the box in the garage with access to my shop vacuum. What a mess. 2. These tubes are single side electrical feed. If your fixture comes with shunted tombstones, they will have to be replaced (only one side). My 6 fixtures came from Lowe’s and all had shunted tombstones. I bought a package of non-shunted ones from Amazon that appeared to closely match those in my fixtures. They were a pain to get installed anyway. The rewiring around the ballast was no problem other than the power wires needed to be spliced to be long enough to make it all the way to the new tombstone. My advice: buy double ended led tubes. Bypassing the ballast is easy. Installing and wiring new tombstones, not so much.

Broken Bulbs👎
The only problem I have with the lights was I ordered 4 led ballast bypass lights. Looking at the shipping box upon arrival it looked pretty flimsy to have four led light bulbs in it, not much packing material. As we opened each individual bulb 2 out of the 4 were broken. Talked toAmozon customer service to see if they could just send 2 replacements but they issued a full refund. Problem is I still need the bulbs. Guess I will buy from local lowes instead.P.S. The 2 bulbs I did install are super bright and are amazing.👍

Cheap
Replaced two fluorescent tubes in a 4 foot fixture. Only one energized completely. The other only half the LED's lit up. Not much light. Sent back.
