Works great
Some reviews say the instructions are unclear so here’s how to set it up:Start charging the fan: Once you get everything out of the box you’ll notice it comes with a cord for charging but no plug for the outlet. You’ll need something to adapt standard USB to a wall outlet - the plug from a spare phone charger works. The shallow compartment with the removable cover is the top side of the air conditioner. The grate and controls are the front side where the cold air comes out. Plug the cord into the back and with your adapter on the other end, start charging. You’ll see a red light to indicate charging - the light will NOT turn green when fully charged.Fill the ice boxes: Push the pill shaped button to release the grates and gently take them both out. These are the ice boxes. Each has a stopper in the corner to prevent water from leaking out as the ice melts. Take out the stoppers and put them somewhere aside. Fill both boxes with water BELOW the line they added for maximum. The plastic is opaque so it’s difficult to tell how full they are but if you fill them to maximum the ice will definitely expand out the hole. Leave a whole centimeter of air over the water level to allow ice to expand. Getting the perfect fill might be trial and error. I don’t recommend putting the stoppers back in until the boxes are fully frozen. Leaving them out helps allow overflow without breaking the plastic.Once ice boxes are frozen and fan is charged: put the stoppers back in the corners of the ice boxes. Put the ice boxes back in the fan with the stoppers upwards because the ice will melt. Unplug the charging cord and fill some tap water into the top compartment. Just a little - don’t fill it all the way up. The instructions say use tap water only.Running the fan: turn the knob to start the fan. As it runs there will be enough water from condensation that it’s a good idea to put the whole thing on a plate or cookie sheet with a rim if your surfaces shouldn’t get wet. The water shouldn’t spill out in large amounts but it will be wet. Be sure to always keep the device upright so the water doesn’t spill into the fan parts. Runs cool 3-5 hours. Hope this helps!I’d say overall.. it’s a little pricey for what it is, but it also works better than expected. It cools a 5-foot area. I’d you’re sitting in front of it, it will help make you comfortable. It won’t cool a room while you’re away. Very happy with mine, and thinking about getting another one to double the power.

Perfect for Saving $$ During “peak rate” period.
Peak pricing starts at 4 PM with my power company. I am not finished working until about 5:30. At 4:00 I turn off my air conditioner, and put this fan on my desk, pointing right at me. It really keeps me cool and comfortable. It is a bonus but I don’t have to plug it in, since it is rechargeable. I just got my first electric bill since I have been doing this, and it was about $200 less than expected, since I am turning my air conditioning off during the peak times.Note: This is the equivalent of putting a small fan on your desk, except chilled air comes out. Do not expect this to cool an entire room or house. It is a personal cooling device.

AMAZING LITTLE COOLER
I love this little cooler. You don't even have to have the little Cooling Gadget that they have you put inside of the box. I just have it charged and turn it on and it puts out cold air. It keeps me nice and cool even on hot days. I actually ordered two more. So I highly recommend this for only $20 this is absolutely a steal. If you want to use the things that go inside of it having multiple ones will help out a lot because you can interchange them out while one is freezing.

Works well if blowing right on you
The red charger light doesn’t stay on but it might be because it’s fully charged (and just doesn’t have a green light to change to). I really like the use of the frozen ice packs. This stands out from other models that just have mist. It’s great for work where I can aim it right at me.

Follow the directions for the Ice Packs!
Too much work! This product comes with 2 ice packs that you have to fill with water and put in the freezer before use. They take a while to freeze, so I use one and leave one in the freezer. As soon as the air blowing out gets warm, I switch them. That’s the only way to have cold air. This product doesn’t cool just using water without the ice packs. When the ice packs are in, the air is very cold, but it doesn’t last long enough and having to constantly change the ice packs gets annoying. One Major drawback is that as the ice packs defrost, water pools on material underneath them. If you don’t constantly soak up the water and clean that area, it starts to smell and mold grows. I wound up purchasing another personal air cooler that I’ve used before because it’s easy to use and cools a small space. It also works just with water. I should have just bought that one to begin with because this was a waste of time and money. 👎🏻👎🏻
