My son requested this book and loves it!
Impulsive Ninja is the second book we’ve ordered in this series. My son struggles with impulsive behaviors and the day after we received and read this book, I asked him how school was. He replied, “Impulsive Ninja saved the day!” It reinforced his skill of self-awareness and gave him a focused tool to help control his impulsive behaviors. How often are kids excited about self help books? These are such fun reads coupled with colorful, attractive that make learning fun and effective!

Opens communication with young ones
I feel this book helps open up communication between parents/educators and young ones. You can have a discussion on what's written or what's illustrated. On top of that, examples are given on how to handle one owns impulse and offers how young ones (and older ones) can help others too.Overall, the books I've read from Mary Nihn so far are great for open discussions and teaching valuable and practical life lessons... while keeping it short, simple, and engaging.

Superpower!
I always say if you can take one good thing away from any book you read that's a win. My ten year old and I read this together. I now ask him what is your superpower and he says the power of pause. He has a problem with impulsivity and this has really helped us in the last couple weeks.

Helpful
Read this to my son who was having impulse control issues. We reference it to remind him how impulsive ninja controls himself and it has been a great resource.

Easy lesson for children to adult about impulsivity
This book illustrated a very easy concept to remember and use daily to control impulsivity. The author uses great examples and illustrations kept my child engaged. I believe this book is appropriate for elementary to teen ages.

Good Lesson
Good lesson in impulse control, but the setting of the story is a little strange. It probably works better if you have more books in the series. Still worth reading, especially to a class of preschoolers.

Such a Valuable Lesson!
These Ninja books are the best. I enjoyed reading this adorable book and can't help, but think how many little ones this will positively impact. Imagine a world where we all as adults thought about the consequences before we acted on our impulses. This book is deliteful and can't wait to read it to the little ones in my life! Keep em' coming!

Ninjas for the win!
Fun way to teach kids to take a moment to think about their actions and how they could impact themselves and those around them. This is a great introduction to mindfulness for children who might not think about the consequences of their actions before acting. Using ninjas is a brilliant way to make mindfulness more engaging for young children!

6 year old LOVED this
I thought this was a bit naff on first reading, but my son really loved it, and has absolutely grasped the lesson about pausing and considering before reacting. I thought it was really good that the author opened the story with examples of GOOD ways of behaving rather than bad, as I find that little kids tend to remember the character as they are first introduced - a good role model who makes mistakes and corrects them is MUCH more effective.

Libro difettoso
Purtroppo appena aperto il libro le pagine hanno iniziato a staccarsi completamente . Ho dovuto applicare lo scotch su ogni pagina.

Good for children ages 8-12
Good lesson, better for older school age children. Vocabulary and message harder for younger children. Waiting and keeping impulses understand control is difficult for many children. Worth a read if this is a lesson a child needs to learn.

It’s ok
Honestly not the best written book. I expected a little better and to not flip flop all over the place so much - especially for the price of the book. Not exactly the best book for my 4 and 5 year olds but I do have to say it’s strength was being able to open up the impulsive behaviour conversation with my kids (ADHD) to address some specific behaviour.I think it’s geared towards kids more 8-10 rather than 4 - 10.
