Dark Chocolate Covered Prunes, 6 Oz Bag (Pack of 3)

The first time I tried these I had purchased them at a Marshalls or HomeGoods. They were hard to come by and I only found them once in awhile, so I was delighted to find them on Amazon. They are DELICIOUS and each one is INDIVIDUALLY wrapped. My only concern (and it did not keep us from enjoying them), esp in this time of Covid, is that the box they came in was not sealed in any way. There was no plastic or cellophane or shrink-wrap and there was no 'safety-seal' tape used where the sides of the box join each other. The box from the manufacturer was actually slightly open inside the Amazon box, although no product had fallen out, yet. Just a sticker seal where the box opens in the front would have been sufficient.

I found these chocolate covered prunes to be plump and soft even at room temperature. They arrived warm and somewhat melted due to a Florida delivery. It actually tasted better that way. It reminded me of a Sunsweet D'Noir prune covered in a high quality dark chocolate. Just be aware that one of these treats is 70 calories and has only 1 gram of fiber. You would need a serving of 4 pieces to get your daily fiber. You do the math on the calorie count. I would stick to the regular dried prunes if you're not getting enough fiber. Save this as a one a day treat to yourself. They really are yummy. I haven't decided yet if I like the prunes better than the apricots yet. The apricots are 50 calories each and contain the same amount of fiber. I may stick to the apricots.

I purchased these to hopefully help with some pregnancy constipation. Overall I am not a huge fan of prunes, so I had hoped them being covered in chocolate would help. It definitely did help. Just make sure to keep out of the hands of young ones who might sneak in a few more than they should! The only downfall is that I felt like I didn’t get as much as some of the other companies that offered the same thing. Otherwise the chocolate flavor was delightful and the prunes were not as bad as I had thought.

I love it, hence I buy it, even though its very expensive. Found a less expensive brand, on Amazon but haven't tried it yet. They look good and are individually wrapped too.

Although I thought the overall product was good, good price and value, for my individual taste I thought the actual fruit, which had sugar, etc added was way too sweet. And the dark chocolate was not dark enough to contrast with the fruit leaving it overall just too sweet. The fruit itself was good quality but I believe there should have been more tartness to them

Good to eat a couple prunes a day but sometimes the texture can start to gross a person out... So the addition of chocolate is rather pleasing.. yes will reorder 📍
