Slim profile, great specs, nice screen and speakers, able to use Google Play Apps...
I had an HP Chromebook14 for 4 years before buying this one. After only Windows pcs/laptops before the Chromebook, the Chromebook was a welcome change. So simple and basically self-sufficient. It manages its own updates; just restart to complete - a one minute proposition rather than the never-ending Windows event. It's pretty much: charge it and use it.For everyday internet browsing, email, video watching, and occasion letter writing, a Chromebook is perfect and so easily portable. So, when it was time to replace it, I knew I wanted another Chromebook.I found this one.Nice upgrades: metal case, full HD screen, and just basically faster/better all around. It is light, pretty much silent, and runs very cool. After a week or so, I can say this one is perfect. No regrets whatsoever. :)

Worth the wait
I work as a freelance writer/editor, so I don't really need Windows. After reading several reviews about the best Chromebooks, the ACER Model kept showing up in my price range. I love this Chromebook! It's fast and has a really good picture quality. Also, this model is light in weight. A big plus compared to my HP Windows weight.

Nice Internet browser but poor battery life
Overall, I like this machine. I do most of my work on my desktop, which I shut down after I'm done. I use this machine for quick internet lookups - I read something or see something on tv and quickly look it up. For what I use it for it is a good machine. I am used to windows PCs so not being able to load apps (other than those from the google store) was a bit of a dissapointment, but that is not what I bought this machine for. My biggest complaint is the battery life. It claims up to 12 hrs, but I just fully recharged it and I am only at 4:37 left. That is significantly less than 12 hrs. I have only had this machine for 4 months and do not really use it a lot, so I would not expect the battery to be that worn out. I would rate this at 3.5 stars.

Definitely worth the money
I use this Chromebook everyday. It's my favorite laptop by far. The design on the outside is a poor man's MacBook Air, but it feels as expensive as it looks. Chromebooks, in general, are very limited to the basic functions of ChromeOS. You can browse the web and use a few of the Chrome's app from their appstore, but that's about it. However, If you're the type to like to mess around with their computers, you can install a Linux distro known as GalliumOS created for Chromebooks. It takes a bit of work, but it is very easy to revert back if you happen to mess up-- you just have to install a recovery thumb drive. By doing this, you are creating a fully-functional laptop letting you download and install third-party programs onto your chromebook and giving you complete access to all of this Chromebook's usability. As a Chromebook, it is fast. The keys are well-placed, the track-pad is very responsive. If your sole use is for media, internet, and typing up documents then look no further. This is also the perfect laptop for a student with online assignments who needs something light, minimalist in design, and fast.My only gripe is with the product listing. It says this Chromebook uses a solid state hard drive but it doesn't. You can check the model's specs against other websites and note it yourself. It's eMMC. eMMC is slower than SSD.Also, it seems there is not much difference between the CB3-431-C5EX (this one) and the CB3-431-C5FM (the one with 900+ reviews). Seems to me they have pretty much the same specifications; same processor speed, same resolution, same memory, same CPU manufacturer. The only thing that is different is that this laptop's processor is quad-core instead of single-core. With more cores and same clock speed, this one seems to be the winner.
