ScotchMagic Greener Tape, Invisible Tape for Fixing Paper, Office Supplies and Back to School Supplies, 0.75 in .x 900 in., 12 Rolls

Have used the "green boxed" Magic tape for decades, but made a mistake in buying this "greener" version. re Strong -- tape pulled apart into small strips and it was hell trying to get it back to pulling right. re Greener -- 900 inch roll vs 1000 means you throw away the plastic core 10% more often; fail to see how that helps the planet. re Sticky -- seemed to be a bit less sticky than the usual Magic tape. Trashed the one roll, put other 11 in our donation bin, and bought the 1000 inch usual Magic tape; costs bit more buy well worth it.

It's scotch tape. It is the stuff that is frosted but if you push it with your fingernail its is mostly clear. This particular shipment was 900 inch roles which is 25 yards. They feel like they are half full of tape. I can't imagine a tape dispenser that needs rolls this small. Get at least the 36 yard rolls. If I had not just looked at the price per roll but rather the cost per linear inch, I would not have purchased this block of tiny rolls. The boxes are big and I knew I had made a mistake when I shook the box and could hear the tiny roll of tape rattle inside.I am not talking about the inside diameter, that is 1 inch and a standard size. The width is 3/4 inch which is also standard. My mistake was the quantity of tape on the core, 900 inches.If you do need tiny rolls just use it in any regular dispenser for a while till they are half used up and you will have this size.

I was really excited to see a green version of plastic tape. Now I hope I save others from purchasing it. The very first roll splits when you try to pull a strip, then you have to take the roll from the dispenser and tune your fingernail around till you can find the ripped edge, pull that out and try again. I can not believe I have 8 rolls (groan)

Update: This tape is inferior to the regular type of Scotch tape. I jreceived this and have barely started to used the first roll and left positive feedback. Now, several rolls in, it is not the best quality.

I disliked the translucent shading of the tape. I wish it went on clear when applied.
