These have the softness of a caramel with a creamy licorice flavor...not too strong and not too weak...JUST RIGHT! They're are a bit pricey, but the quality is excellent.

These are my absolute favorites! The texture and chewiness of caramels with the taste of black licorice! Yum! These are my go-to gift for all my friends and family who like black licorice....they are unique enough that they make a perfect gift.I grew up loving black licorice and first tried black licorice caramels when I was traveling in South Africa. I brought a bunch home but ate them or gifted them quickly. So happy to find out I could order them here. Such a treat!

Smooth/creamy/chewy texture with a wonderful mild sweet licorice flavor. Already purchased second one pound bag. Will purchase two pound bag when available.

Dear Sweet Gourmet, please reduce the food coloring in your otherwise wonderful licorice caramels! The flavor and texture is awesome, but there's no need to turn our tongues black-green, and we feel better eating something more natural. Please try it, you may find your customers are more than happy. Reduce your food coloring and you have in us a long term customer and word of mouth advertising!

These licorice caramels have a mild licorice taste and a soft, not sticky chew. They ate very good.

There is absolutely nothing positive to say about these. There is no flavor, the texture is like weird a dense mush, even the wrapping is frustratingly tight and difficult to remove.

My brother loves this candy. The combination of chocolate and licorice is unique and they complement each other

Soft & chewy with a decent flavor. However, I will not buy this brand again because they are very gritty as others have reported.
