Bought the plate bc my monitor stand was leaning to one side slowly, little by little overtime. My monitor is heavy (LG), my table is the IKEA LINNMON, and the mount itself is a side mount so yeah—it obviously was gonna start leaning at some point. Bc my table is hollow inside, the weight left a small dent overtime.Bought the reinforcement plate to add a solid firm foundation. Works great! Super satisfied! Monitor doesn’t lean, and is perfectly straight. Plate is pretty solid tbh, quality is high, and I highly recommend it if you have a similar problem.

This reinforcement plate was a lifesaver during my home office upgrade! It saved my glass desk from damage when I added external monitor arms for my new job. Highly recommend for anyone with a fragile desk surface!

Works great to distribute pressure to alleviate damagw to the desk surface for monitor mount arms. Thought it was weird that I needed to install the foam myself, but its probably for labor savings cost. Still, does the job.

I use it on a plastic fold out table to attach a heavy duty AVLT monitor arm with a 24" monitor. It works very well.
