3/8 to 3/4 sight adapter
This device works really well with my Avalanche Crossbow mount (3/8) and fits all the sights I bought that are 7/8 or 3/4 I forget, Anyway, I couldn't get it past the stud in my crossbow that was for the iron sights, I couldn't get the stud out. The sight adapter is secure on my crossbow however, and I only tightened three of the four socket-head screws because the fourth one hung off the end of the mount because of the stud. My sights are now secure to the adapter though, I got in some good practice with my crossbows at the shooting range and was able to almost zero in my crossbow except for the recoil from it which threw off my aim.

Good product. I used it on a Remington .308
I used this to mount on top of a Remington Spartan .308 single shot rifle, since for some weird reason they made it with 11mm rails machined into the receiver.I took the recoil setscrew out and ground the bottom of it flat (it's pointed from the factory) so that it would sit flat on top of the groove in the receiver rather than trying to dig into it, set it up with the setscrew in the recoil groove, and snugged the side screws to hold it in place with the mount pushed as far forward as it would go (the direction that recoil tries to move it), then took the screws out one at a time, put red loctite on and re-installed them firmly. After they were in I torqued them pretty firmly, then did the same with the recoil screw. After about 40 or 50 .308 rounds it's still holding up tight, and there were no issues with screws breaking like you sometimes have with these lower-end mounts.I'd buy another one.

This is NOT a 3/8 "rib" adapter, it is a 3/8 "dovetail" adapter.
Build quality seems good, but there's a HUGE difference between a rib & a dovetail. Based on the title of the product: "TRUGLO Rib Mounting Adapter 3/8 to Weaver Black" I was expecting an adapter that would attach to the 3/8" vent rib on my Mossberg 500 allowing me to mount my red dot sight forward of the receiver. My fault for not looking at the 3rd picture in the listing BEFORE PURCHASE, which clearly says "converts 3/8" mounting bases to Picatinny / Weaver style mounts" meaning 3/8" dovetail mounting bases.Fortunately, I have a .22 with a 3/8" dovetail that I can use this on, but would not have normally purchased this one for that use, since there are the exact same product from equivalent quality manufacturers for 40 - 60% less $$$

mosin is too dang powerful
Fits mosin nagant but haven't figured out how to secure it on. The mosin kicks so hard it comes lose even with lock tight.Update: now the screws threading has been stripped because instead of coming loose they just stripped.

Worked for my old Barnett RC-150
I bought a Truglo Red/Green dot sight for a Barnett RC-150 I bought around 10 years ago. The Truglo sight dovetail was too big for the rail on the RC-150, so ordered this product. Just what I needed - sight fit with the adapter. It does sit a bit high, but I laid a laser bore sighter on the crossbow rail where the bolt would be and could adjust it sufficiently so that the sight reddot and the laser dot lined up. Still need to test the accuracy of this method, but at least at this point the whole assembly seems to work as it should.

Mounted Red Dot on Escort Shot Gun Receiver Dovetail
I needed to run a Trijicon Red Dot on a 20 gauge Escort Shotgun. This unit clamped onto the shallow dove tail that you can find on the top of your shotgun receiver. This piece of hardware gives you a secure platform to mount optics. I then used a weaver rail and mounted that on top of this piece of hardware. It did raise the red dot a bit, and close to the stock end also. I used a 3/4 inch cheek weld cushion mounted on top of the stock. This raised my sons head enough to get a good bead through the red dot. He successfully shot his first turkey. There was very little material around the internet to figure out how to mount on a dove tail, or that you can even mount on the dove tail. The firearms sales guy at the gun shop did not have a solution. I also tried a cantilever solution, but that did not work out.
