****Update ****This sifter is a complete joke and I am mad I am past the return window.Initially, the sifter did a great job. But over time, the sifting speed has gotten slower and slower. It somehow tends to clog over time. I have now gone back to using my original hand crank sifter. It is much faster than this crap. Please do take my advice and do not purchase this sifter. You will eventually regret it!****Disregard my review below****I'm not sure that I understand why the low ratings for this sifter. Someone wrote that it's not good for pound cakes and I'm like "Hunh"??? I run my own home cake bakery and that is literally all that I make is pound cakes. LOL, some people will write anything.My sifter sifts pretty fast. Although there have been a few times where it seemed "clogged" and wouldn't sift as fast. I have noticed that it tends to sift much faster after the first sift. I tend to sift my dry ingredients 4-5 times so I appreciate the speed.My few complaints are that the sifter is overpriced. It should sell for $15 not $30. All it does is vibrate. There is nothing that spins around to sift the flour.My other issue is the sifter is small. I wish this came in an 8-cup size. 5 cups works but there are times when I make double/triple batches of batter and a larger capacity would be great.My last minor complaint is that it won't sift powdered sugar too well. I used the sifter to sift almond flour and powdered sugar to make Macarons and it took forever. My hand crank sifter was much better.But overall I am giving this sifter four stars. I am happy with my purchase.

The media could not be loaded.  Love this!! Comes in handy when you’re making pound cakes or any cake!! Easy to use and clean, you can definitely sift the old fashioned way but this makes it so much more easier!! I purchased two!!

If you're trying to sift confectioners sugar, don't waste your time.

It’s great for folks who have no strength in hands. Gives you a stirring hand & one to sift whatever. Light weight

I loved it when I first used it, but after a few uses I notice that it clogs easily and starts going very slow, so I went back to using the manual sifter...should have listened to granny's teachings!

So modern compared to the old cranks. Easy to use. Less messy for sure. So, that alone, makes it worth it.
