Good awning for the money (Amazon prime sale)
Really good shade for the money. It is lighter and smaller than carrying an umbrella to the beach, although it does take a few more minutes to set up. Once you have done it a couple times tho, setup is still pretty quick. In our week at the beach, we used this every day except one due to winds. We used it in a 4 pole and also in a 2 pole configuration. I have seen people complain about the weak poles on this and other awnings. We had zero problems with wind under 15mph but they get "iffy" pretty quick when the wind climbs. I think this is just because the whole awning acts like a huge sail catching the wind. Winds over 20-22mph I would not use this at all. I did see one person on the beach that replaced his collapsible poles with solid one piece poles. They worked great, even in the higher winds - but that also means his setup is no longer as portable any more. Who wants to carry four 6ft poles every time they go to the beach? I was very happy with the awning for the week.

Great for our Hawaiian Beach Vacation
This canopy was perfect for our vacation. We used it twice at the beaches on the Big Island of Hawaii. We easily fit all of our beach stuff under the canopy and were able to seat our group of 5 under the shade to eat lunch. The first time we set it up took about 20 minutes, and probably could have done it in half the time, but we had to remove the plastic on the poles (do this before you head to the beach so you don't have to chase down the plastic wrap). I had watched a video prior to our trip, so I knew that it was very important to stretch out the fabric and FILL the bags with LOTS of sand. The first beach wasn't very windy, so I was curious how it would hold up to wind. It did GREAT at the 2nd beach. Be sure to attach the bungees to the top and tighten, also angle the poles into the wind. We set it up the second time in about 10 minutes. Our 4 year old granddaughter loved filling the bags with sand using the supplied scoop. Taking the canopy down was EASY - take the poles down, empty the sand from the bags, roll up the canopy, and put everything in the supplied bag. It's easy to carry and packs in the suitcase for airline travel (I put it in my 24" roller bag with other beach items, but I think it would fit in a carry-on as well.)I would definitely recommend buying this canopy for your next beach vacation. It provided needed shade and held up to the winds off the ocean.

Works as advertised
Just spent a week at the beach and this worked well. Took me about 15 minutes to set up each day. The reason for 4 stars is that the scoop is too light weight. Next time I'm bringing an aluminum garden towel or a small shovel. Also, they should include tent line brackets to keep you from having to tie taught line hitches on the cords. I am purchasing some for next year. I would gladly pay Harbland $5 - $10 more for these upgrades. We had a couple of storms blow in and the canopy won't stay up in 40 mph winds. We had some sudden gusts. No big deal. It took me about 1 minute to drop the four poles and put a little sand on it while other people had their pop up tents and sportbrellas tumbling down the beach.

Surprisingly sturdy and easy to setup.
A few years ago, I got the 2-legged pop up tent for travel purposes but it wasn’t very sturdy in the face of strong winds. I do like how compact and easy it was to set up and take down so I decided to give the 4-legged version a try.Pros:- Lightweight and fairly compact. This is very light because it’s mostly fabric. Sand is used to weigh the legs down so no heavy weights are included in the package. It’s a bit longer than the 2-legged version due to the space needed for 4 legs which also seem sturdier.- Easy to assemble. I struggled before with the 2-legged assembly but that was due to my own lack of knowledge as well as the 2-legged setup. This one was surprising easy to assemble. (Will post setup video later when I head back to the beach with a camera.)- Windproof. The 2-legged setup has one side that slants downward thus making it prone to strong winds which was a problem for us. This 4-legged version doesn’t appear to have that same problem. We could see the wind blowing parts of it around but since there’s no wall, it’s not able to pick up the entire tent.Cons:- it would be great if the material was windproof but I can see how make larger holes for wind to pass would defeat the purpose of a shade or covering.Overall, pretty happy with this pop up tent and don’t have a lot of cons about it.

Extremely Mobile Shade is better than expected
1st of all we were interested in this type of shader because it easily fits into our Seadoos storage compartment and is extremely portable and lightweight.Reading some bad reviews my girlfriend and I decided to set it up on a 15 mph wind day in the grass, pics shown. We staked down and used rocks in the sleeves of the cover. Once set up it was deemed sturdy, even dropping one side down by crossing the legs it stayed sturdy in that wind. Our Beach Day was pretty calm 5 to 10 mph winds. The stakes didn’t work in the sand obviously but the sewn in pockets full of sand did the job fine, also pictured. If you dig a hole specifically where u want the sack of sand to go it adds to the stability quite a bit. We sat 4 foldable camp chairs a cooler and 2 dogs comfortably. If I needed anymore than that or more than 4 adults on chairs I’d buy a second shader. It takes some positioning and a little patience and I’d say takes 2 ppl to set up. I’d buy another one if I needed to. Do yourself a favor and set it up in a comfy controlled environment 1st. Get used to it then take it out where u depend on shade. Serves my purpose completely, I really like it.
