Works well. Can reformat as much as you want and even create it as a boot disc. Works for Linux Mint. Read/Write speed it pretty good even for archive downloads. Design is pretty.

I marked down a star because I good find little documentation/information/instructions. However, connected without a problem (Win 7) and I successfully used it to to back up someone's computer

Currently setting up this HD, received on time last night. It's positioned securely on my desk directly next to my laptop and connected with the USB 3.0 cable it came packaged with. However, I have not yet been even able to successfully format the device file system or make a partition as in the last 5 minutes the hard drive has already improperly ejected with an error alert several times. My computer is now not at all recognising the device when plugged in. I'm using a 2015 MacBook Pro in great condition. This hard drive is basically useless, and I would warn caution in considering it a solution for any sort of backup or reliable file storage system you're needing to employ.. Can't recommend

This product does not work well with Apple computers. I plugged it in, reformatted the drive, and began backing up my MacBook Pro in Time Machine. I got about 2% of the way (which took half an hour) before the drive unexpectedly quit and ejected on it's own. For the next 3 days, I tried multiple times to resume the backup, and this continued to happen. Half of the time, the computer did not even recognize the drive, and on the times that it did, the drive ejected itself without warning and cancelled the backup. Maybe other customers working with PCs have had better success, but for those with Mac computers, I would advise avoiding the frustration of ordering this product. I followed the advice of another reviewer, and bought myself a WD "My Passport" for Mac External Hard Drive, and it worked like a charm, with no issues. It's more expensive, at about $50, but it was worth spending the extra money.

I was so happy with the first one I ordered another. I may need more of them in the future. That work great for my video recording equipment!

No instructions,, but you know what to do ... right?Backed up my system before failure. It takes time to transfer, but good purchase.

It is a good value for money and do the job it is for. There are many similar products available in the market but this is really sleek and good quality
