Concise, Engaging, and Insightful!
Culture Built My Brand is well-written and full of wisdom. The authors lay out a comprehensive plan for aligning your brand’s culture with what you truly value. In other words, it goes far beyond external appearances and gets to the heart of what a company stands for and truly delivers. The authors are clearly experts in their field and passionate about what they do but the writing style is relatable and down-to-earth. The combination of humor and insightful analysis of real case studies is reminiscent of Chip and Dan Heath’s writing style. The authors do a good job of distinguishing between themselves without distracting from the message. The book is organized in a very clear way and the authors do an excellent job of providing specific examples of each of the key principles. The case studies are engaging and I appreciate the diversity of the organizations included. There are small, local companies as well as well-known international brands. They include both for- and non-profit organizations. I was impressed by the overall look and quality of the print edition. There are many nice formatting details and the illustrations are a nice touch. As a pure leadership book, it’s a must read but I also see it appealing to people at all levels and helping them become more authentic. In particular, I think teachers and parents could get a lot out of these ideas.

An Entertaining and Engaging Read
As someone who has read their fair share of Leadership and team development books, Culture Built My Brand is a great read! Mark and Ted do a great job at laying out the importance and practicality of building your brand by realizing your team and your workplace culture ARE your brand. The use of personal life examples, anecdotes of their own journies of discovering the importance of a healthy culture, and stories from other well-known companies make this book a very engaging read that forces you to keep turning the page. This book provides all the tools you will need to create a “Marquee Culture” in your workplace and make sure that your brand is a reflection of what you originally intended when starting your business or non-profit. This is a quick and easy read that will make you laugh but also leave you feeling inspired and ready to put these insights into action.

All meat, no fluff
Ted's writing is full of wisdom that comes from someone who not only has a wealth of experience, but has the sensibility to reflect on the experiences of others in a way that brings about new and massively helpful insights. I've always held the belief that the cheapest and least painful way to learn is from the mistakes and successes of others and this book is full of practical, real-world examples that crystalize the lessons for the reader.

An all around amazing book!
Just finished this book and I’m sold! As much as this is a book about business growth and development it is also a guide to living more intentionally and defining your own personal culture. Challenge accepted. Excited to see what this is going to do for the businesses and families that apply these principles. Highly recommend!
