These are really a neat product to have on hand. The paper in these trays is coated so they are moisture resistant but not completely waterproof. You have plenty of time to eat something like ice cream, potato salad, spaghetti with sauce, etc. before the paper begins to absorb moisture and begins to warp and become soggy. Unfortunately this means you can't recycle or compost these trays so they have to go into the trash (or fire pit), but it does save on the water and power that would've been used to wash dishes.The trays are strong enough to hold up to a full size burger and fries, a banana split, ear of corn. They're also a great for sorting craft supplies, doing crafts, paint touch-ups, hardware (screws, nails, the like), feeding pets, portioning out snacks on movie night, you name it. These trays are so useful that we ordered the half-pound and one-pound sizes as well.

These have been fun and incredibly useful. While we aren't using these in food service, we do have pretty large family BBQs at least twice a month. Additionally, we also use these fairly often for every day stuff.We have a large deep fryer and we make our own fries, hushpuppies, mushrooms, shrimp... a lot of stuff. These are fantastic for that.For food service, I've certainly seen plenty of places use things like this, especially food trucks. They're perfect for that. Sturdy enough for a mound of hushpuppies, burger and fries, etc.Food goes straight in, no liner needed. They have a thin coat of something that makes them more liquid resistant.We had the 3# size, but it appears they have quite a few sizes. We're going to stick with these, and I put them on my personal shopping list. This set of Kant Leek RP3008 3 Pounds Capacity 8.38 Inch Width by 2.09 Inch Height by 5.81 Inch Depth Red Plaid Color Containers are a good size for an ample portion, and are made well and feel decently sturdy considering the thin and lightweight feel of the material itself. I filled this with water, and it did not leak- I don't think it would be able to keep water in over 10 minutes, but I didn't bother to try, since it seems fairly water resistant for what it is, a disposable paper-based serving container. The pack I have in plastic in the background is the 250 pack pouch. You'll get 2 of these in a set when purchased. The smaller servings you see in my pic are for my kids, and you can see there is a lot of space for much larger portions. These are very attractive, and handy to have for casual events, parties or regular use at home.
