Small footprint, clear easy-to-read display
We have this clock-radio sitting on the headboard above our bed.Things we like:Small footprint, cube-shaped about 4 inches on each sideClear, easy-to-read time display with three brightness settings; display can be turned off completely at night.Ability to project time info onto nearby wall or ceiling. Easy to read nighttime red digital display projected on our ceiling, no need to sit up or turn around to see it. Lots of flexibility to aim, focus and rotate projected time info.Time and date-setting are automated, including seasonal switch to daylight savings time. All you need to do is set your time zone (hours difference versus GMT). Setup was quick and easy.Has a USB-A port on the side that you can use for watch or phone charging.Includes AM/FM radio with good FM reception (the included AM radio antenna is large and ugly-looking, we did not install it)Some negatives:The five included soothing nature sounds (bird calls, rainfall, breaking waves, etc.) are cheesy and annoying rather than calming. We will not be using them. There are a lot of control buttons both on top (13) and on the back (6) of the unit. There are separate buttons for each of the five cheesy nature sounds mentioned above. We would happily give up some of those buttons and their associated sound effects for other more useful features such as Bluetooth. No phone integration, smart home, WiFi, music streaming or voice activation. What you are getting here is just a nicely-packaged, updated take on a traditional clock-radio.Does not support the newer USB-C connector

It works but could be much better
This is replacing 12 ish year old Sony alarm clock that also worked as a doc for my iPod classic. The power supply on that very good alarm died and I haven't used an iPod in many years so decided to replace it with something new rather than try and fix the power supply. I need dual alarm capability and this seemed like Sony's best option. This new clock has, in comparison, horrible sound quality. It has a single tiny speaker that does make sound but you would never want to use this to listen to music in any way other than as an alarm. The snooze button is good. The very small button flush with the top that you have to hit to turn an alarm off is not easy to hit in the dark as you are getting up. Someone I'm sure thought this was a good idea to prevent accidentally turning it off but I don't care for it. I can't say if the projector feature is worthwhile as I've never used it.The setup for the dual alarm is easy. In general it works but I'm just disappointed at how much less of a product this is than my old Sony.

Really great radio with great features but tinny sound
A good radio with good features but sound was very "tinny", rather cheap speaker seemingly (a bit surprising for a Sony product as historically I've found other items they produce to have good sound, but not this one). The speaker is also located in back of the unit. Combine the location with somewhat cheap sound and it can be difficult to hear for a person like me.I do like that it had an AM antenna. Reception for both AM and FM seemed quite good for a small unit. And I didn't seem to experience any interference ftom other nearby electronic devices such as charging cell-phones, etc

Always read the reviews
With smartphones being most people's alarms now, it's incredibly difficult to find an alarm clock that has decent features. Since I wear glasses, the biggest draw to this for me was the projection, but wish I had read more reviews before I purchased. What isn't stated in any product description is that the projector is on an 18 hour timer, which is incredibly unnecessary. I've never had a projection alarm clock in the past with a timer on it, and it's frustrating to have to remember to turn it on every night. Other than that the radio works well, and when the projector is on it is very clear. And I like that it has two alarms if needed. Due to lack of options, I think I'll keep it. But the projector, which was supposed to be a big plus, is a big minus in my book.
