Rancho de Chimayo Cookbook: The Traditional Cooking Of New Mexico

My wife’s family come from a long line of northern New Mexican Hispanics. They have a very distinct cuisine compared to Sonoran and Tex-Mex. I bought this as a gift. She is thrilled with the history and recipes it contains. She says it brings back many pleasant memories of her visits as a child to the family home in Chauma.

Liked the stories and history of the family and town of Chimayó. Well written! And wen have been there and enjoyed the food. My husband and I live in Santa Fe.

A wonderful recipe book from the best northern New Mexico cuisine restaurant there is.Beautifully illustrated, it takes you right to Rancho de Chimayo! You will love it.

Wonderful to recreate these tasty dishes and meals we have enjoyed over the years at Rancho de Chimayo. I especially enjoyed the bonus photos and history of the family and property of the restaurant. Well done!

This cookbook is a real find if you have ever enjoyed a meal at the restaurant & if you became a fan of prickly pear lemonade. The little anecdotes about some of the recipes add interest and insight. Especially appreciated are the tips for cooking some of the recipes at various altitudes—it does make a difference that is often overlooked in cookbooks.
