Carnage: Four Horsemen, Book 1

The beginning was a bit slow and the writing was a bit preachy, especially in the first half. Like don’t just keep telling me they’re wicked men, show me. Do something.But all in all, it was a good read. Especially towards the end. It really picked up. I like the story. I will be reading the next one.Spicy scenes are good too!

Whoa! I have had this series on my TBR for a long time now. I finally decided to pick up this series and my god I’m not certain I’ll survive the rest of these books. I’m stunned at that ending. And the path to that ending was rocky. I wasn’t certain I was going to be able to finish this book at one point. I almost feel like the trigger warnings weren’t enough. This book is dark! The characters are dark! I’m intrigued at this point to see where this series heads. It’s so much that has not been revealed and yet so much that has already happened. This is a 4 Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me.

It took several chapters but pushing through was worth it as I am now hooked and ready for book 2.

Give me all of the morally grey rich men in suites with a touch her her and die vibe all day every day. The men in these books are just pure perfection and the group adult activities in this book are *chefs kiss*. I loved element of suspense surrounding Scarletts accident, my anxiety and the need to know would not let me put this book down.

This book will have on the edge of your seat. Read this it is absolutely amazing. I wasn't sure at first then all of the sudden it turned amazing as heck.

I had read this previously but apparently never logged it? But it was just as good the second time around! I’m a sucker for this kind of story, I guess. But I really do enjoy Sarah Bailey’s writing, oh my gosh. It’s honestly addictive and I am so excited to continue the series!

More depth to the story than something like den of vipers but equal if not better spice. Hauling over to Amazon to buy #2 immediately

I love dark romances, the darker the better but I struggled with this one. The writing was good and flowed well. I may pick up another book or series from this author because I was impressed with how she crafted a story but the content and the plot of this one just didn’t cut it for me.I really had a hard time understanding and sympathizing with all the characters since the readers were still left completely in the dark about the past of the 5 main characters. Even with the ending of this book, we didn’t get any answers only vague mentions but nothing concrete. Most of the dark romances I have read, I am able to feel some sort of understanding with them which allows me to justify their actions I guess.There were a lot of double standards which at least the men admitted to but it still didn’t make a whole lot of sense to me. I think if I had more details about their past with Scarlett, their behavior would make more sense to me. I got the impression that the men were aware that Scarlett was sent to “take them down” but I am still completely lost with the whole plot. So not only do I not understand what is happening, Scarlett’s reactions aren’t making sense to me either. She almost immediately turns snuggly with the men and hugs them which I think any normal woman wouldn’t push the boundaries quite like that so early on, especially knowing how dark these men are in the sexual escapades.The repetitive inner dialogue of the men talking about how twisted and depraved they are got old. Their tendency for this behavior is mentioned a few times to be a result of what happened between all of them 10 years prior but once again, we have no idea what happened to even understand. There is dark and twisted lusts and sexual preferences, and then there is this…this takes it all to a whole other level where the woman is truly viewed as a toy. Sometimes sexual play will have the men treating the woman like a toy but once the play is over, they take care of her and give her what she needs, this did not have any aspect of after care. Not even in the inner dialogue of the men did they ever mention how much they wanted to do just that.I need the after care and so with that being said, I doubt I will continue with this series. After care is important to me so the absence of it was a real struggle for me.

What a way to introduce you to a new series…We meet Scarlett the FMC, I need to know more about her backstory, something tells me she hasn’t had an easy life…we are introduced to Prescott, Francis, West and Drake also known has the four horsemen, the things they do to get what they want, and what they have managed to accomplish they are ruthless and Dark and will stop at nothing to achieve What they set their minds to.They have been looking for something that was taken many years ago and will do anything in there power to get what it was back, Is all the hard work finally about to pay off!!Possible spoiler if you’ve not read the blurb!!!Scarlett use to be best friends with the four horseman, after a tragic accident happens Scarlett is taken away from her friends, and is kept away, after years of being away from the guys she returns with one mission, she wants them dead, she has no memories of ever being friends with the guys but they remember her and what she use to mean to them..I enjoyed this book, and look forward to reading book 2Please read the trigger below (from Sarah’s website)Graphic violence, domestic violence/abuse, drug use, graphic sexual content including but not limited to: DubCon, NonCon, CNC, Primal, bondage, blood play, knife play

Stars given on level of engagement;5 stars - less than a day to read because I cannot put it down. I only give 5 stars if it has managed to engage extra emotions from me - extreme lol moments or real teary moments etc. A 5 stars book tends to have me raging about cliff hangers and (legally and not creepily) stalking the author for release dates.4 stars - 2 days to read or less. A book that I have quite enjoyed reading, feisty MC and some racy scenes with thier romantic interest. I would definitely follow a series and author for 4 star books.3 stars - takes around 2/3 days to read, usually because I have become distracted and less engaged in some sections but by the end the end I have enjoyed the overall story and would read any sequels.1/2 stars not given, as I have usually returned it without finishing as I'm not engaged. .

Scarlett is on a mission to take down four men, she has amnesia from an accident. She is going after them in some ways blind because she only now what she has been told by her parents that have kept her locked up for the past 10yrs or since she woke from a coma. The Four Horsemen as they are know used to be friends with Scarlett in the teens and right up I til her accident and then she vanished until she turns up at their company for work.. They all want her back to the way they knew her before the accident but they also know she was sent by her parents to try and destroy them. But they want to destroy her in a kinky way.. But they hope that she remembers them the spice is HOT SO INTO THE NEXT BOOK

I enjoyed this book, I won't be reading the next one for a while, I loved all the horsemen, I liked the way the author kept the intrigue going throughout the whole book, I honestly got a little lost near the beginning, only because I was trying to understand what was happening, I was abit slow catching on with this one, but once I got it, I understood it all, I will read the next one but I need a little break first, as it was tense book in places and the sex, yowza super hot, need to cool down first.

Holy hell!!! What a book.I wasn't completely sure how this book was going to go at one point but my word it just got better and better.I finished this book with more questions than answers and I absolutely can't wait to get stuck in to the next book.The 4 horsemen are crazy hot and all fit into the puzzle together perfectly. I can't wait to find out who the people who took Scarlet are and what happened that night. Can't wait for the next book.This is my 1st Sarah Bailey book and most definitely won't be the last.
