A Good, Fun Read!
This was my first book by author Tessa Bailey, and it was a good one. It says that it is book 2 in the series, but I was able to start here and be fine. I did not have any problems catching up or figuring out what happened in book 1 that may affect the story. I enjoyed this one and will most likely go back to read book 1, just because I enjoyed the characters, the location and the story. The characters were flawed, there was no instant love and the reader was able to follow along with the story and how the characters got together with no problem. The story was fun, I loved the texting banter between the characters and I enjoyed that it broke up parts of the story for the reader. It gave them a good stopping point to do real life things. The book was a good one, the reader enjoyed it, and overall it was a story that flowed, was written well and of course entirely predictable, but it was the perfect cure for a book hangover. Add this one to your TBR list - you won't be sorry!

Hooked on Tessa Bailey!
I am absolutely in love with the Berlinger Sisters and their fishermen!Fox is appropriately named for the character! I loved the character of Fox… the man with a beautiful face with out an ounce of love for himself. I love watching Fox and Hannah fall in love and work out their relationship. This is only the second book I’ve read of Tessa Bailey’s, and I’m looking forward to reading more!

I loved it
This book was so good. I don’t know how people say they like it less than “It Happened One Summer”. Brendan is amazing but FOX has my heart. The sexual tension is chefs kiss but it’s is a slow burn. I love how Fox grows and learns to dig deep and attempt to fix the emotional barriers that he has up. There’s a certain vulnerability to it that is not often addressed with male characters and I loved it.

A top 2022 favorite. This story and its characters swept me away!
Where do I even start?! This book made my heart ache in the best way possible. While It Happened One Summer was sheer rom-com perfection and one that I was borderline obsessed with, this one took me by absolute surprise. I have to say, I may actually love this book more than the first, which is saying a lot as IHOS set a very high bar. I just really, really LOVED it. I honestly was not prepared for the emotional journey Hook, Line, and Sinker took me on. It’s honestly one of the best friends-to-lovers romance books I’ve ever read, and it’s clear that Tessa Bailey has poured her heart and soul into writing this book.I've been impatiently waiting for Fox and Hannah’s love story ever since this couple were introduced in It Happened One Summer and this book seriously delves into their relationship in a way I wasn’t anticipating. The opening to this book was PERFECTION, and it really showcased how their connection was built. I knew after the Fleetwood Mac album moment in IHOS that Fox and Hannah were soulmates, and every single page of this book just proved it. The banter, the angst, and the PINING were all absolute perfection. Their honesty was real and raw, and the depth of their relationship had my heart melting and aching in equal measure, and I don’t think I will ever forget the way they made me feel with their romance. It was the most exquisite slow burn, heartfelt, friends-to-lovers story. And seeing the vulnerable side of Fox affected me deeply. He is such an intricately crafted and complicated character with a depth to him that I never ever saw coming. My heart broke for this beautifully broken man. I've never read anything like that from a male character before and I truly appreciated how Tessa Bailey wrote his story. And Hannah, what a beautiful, precious soul. She’s incredibly relatable with big dreams, and I adored her and her love for music. The fierce way she fights for Fox in ways that I’ve never seen a heroine done so before—fights for him to trust her, to believe in her, to keep her. Watching her help Fox realise his true potential and character was absolutely everything. Their relationship and their love is so breathtakingly beautiful that it almost left me breathless.Without a doubt, this one of my top reads and I don’t think I’ll get over this high that Fox and Hannah have put me in for a long, long time. It’s the kind of high I endlessly chase and it’s the kind of book I want to keep on reading forever because I'm so effortlessly and hopelessly in love with the characters and their rich, heartfelt relationship. I'm not ready to leave Westport and the grizzled fishermen who live there. This series will be a forever favourite of mine that I'll continue to revisit over and over.

A great follow-up to a wonderful book.
Hook, Line, and Sinker follow the story of the second Bellinger sister, Hannah. Hannah is determined to make leading lady moves as she pushes forward toward her dream job and dream man.Fox, a former player, hasn't forgotten about Hannah since they met six months prior. He feels reluctant to pursue Hannah, given his history and his small town's perception of him. When Fox hears Hannah is coming to town to film a movie and she needs a place to stay, Fox is ready to share his apartment with Hannah. Will he be able to handle living with his best friend/crush without things getting complicated?I enjoyed Hannah and Fox's love story. I found this book more realistic than the first in the series, and I enjoyed it more than the predecessor. I loved watching Hannah and Fox gradually come together as a couple despite their fears and self-doubt. I liked how the book focused on the male (Fox) perspective of self-doubt and feeling like you aren't enough for somebody. We had to see Fox come to terms with his negative self-view before he could let go and let himself love Hannah. I also like how Hannah took the time to develop her relationship with Fox before moving forward romantically. Lastly, I enjoyed the humorous scenes. Hannah and Fox playing bingo with the fighting older ladies were great. However, I do have a couple of critiques. One, I found some of the love scene dialogue to cringe. I understand the romance genre usually has that, but there were times it went overboard. Second, I felt that Hannah and Fox could've gotten together sooner or had more action. Some of the chapters seemed to be filler. Overall, I enjoyed this story. I look forward to reading more of Tessa Bailey's books!

AWESOME READ
Hook, Line And Sinker is the second book of (Bellinger Sisters series) by Tessa Bailey. I couldn't wait to read this book. I fell in love with Tessa’s book when reading, It Happened One Summer. The first book in the series. Except this time it is Hannah and Fox’s story. I loved the fact that we still got scenes with Piper and Brendan and other characters that were in book 1.I couldn't wait to return back to Washington, Westport and our favourite fishing town. Hannah as we know from the previous book is Piper's little sister. Hannah returned home to go back to her job and the one she has a big crush on is Sergi, the writer and producer of the film company. The only difference now is she texts and stays in touch with Fox, the player she spent time down westport with and became friends. Nothing could ever happen between Fox and Hannah as she doesn't want to be another of his girl flings. With Hannah now working back in the small town of westport for work with the film crew. Fox agrees to let her crash at his place and help her catch the eye of Sergi. But being just friends is becoming a struggle and Hannah can't decide where her feelings lie with the crush she has for Sergi, or can she trust her heart that she is not just another girl fling to Fox. I loved that we got to know Fox’s life a lot deeper and I felt so sorry for him, you realise Fox is hiding a lot of feelings of his past life and he cares an awful lot about how people see him. I absolutely loved this book, there was laughter and teary moments and a lot of fun. As much as I love the Fox and Hannah story, It Happened One Summer is still my favourite out of the two Bellinger sisters series. What can I say Brenden stole my heart lol. This is still a world I love to come and escape for a little. The ending was perfect and adored so much. Can't wait to read more of your books Tessa, they bring happiness to my face.

Better than the first!
Supportive Character ✔️Soft boy ✔️Communication ✔️Friends to lovers ✔️Small town ✔️Spice ✔️I don’t think anyone understands my love for this series, but when I tell you I loved this book more than the first? Some people may be shocked. I’ve read around and seen peoples opinions but I have to disagree with a lot of them, this book was beautiful and I’ve finished it feeling so happy and content yet also empty because I want more of Fox and Hannah.Fox is clearly someone’s who’s only ever been known for his playboy ways but there’s so much more to him than that, and I’m so grateful for Hannah and how she realised that. Their friendship bloomed significantly when she came back to Westport and she showed him that he’s more than what he and others say he is. He’s a generous human with a heart of gold, and he deserves the world. He is so incredibly thoughtful and I am so proud of him for facing his fears and talking things out.As for Hannah, Hannah is a little bit of me (ironic considering my names also Hannah), but she sees the good I. People and the beauty of something despite all the negatives. She’s honest, supporting, kind, caring and lovely and I adore her. I am also incredibly proud of Hannah for taking that big step and doing what she thought was right for her, and fighting for the man she loved. Hannah is someone we need in our lives, she’s a ray of sunshine like her sister, and a fictional character I will always remember. The communication between Fox and Hannah isn’t spoken enough of, it was brilliant and it’s how things should be! Relationships NEED communication, even when it’s hard and scary, you need to try and Fox and Hannah showed this numerous times, it also spiced up their sex life more in my opinion!Sadly, I do think we could’ve done with a bit more spice within the book, but apart from that, I’m a happy girl.

A story to make you smile and dream
Friendship and love; do you think a man and a woman can be friends, or there’s always something more?Hannah and Fox have been exchanging messages for the last few months, now it’s time to meet up again, as friends in Westport. Will they surpass their own barriers and follow the sparks between them? Or will they let their fears restrict their dreams forever?I don’t think this is a book from friends-to lovers; I think from the beginning they have feelings for each other but really don’t know how to put words to their thoughts. And I liked how they try to fight the attraction between them and try to fight their fears and barriers before they start something together. Also, it was really nice looking for all the songs and bands that are talked about during the story; it has their own soundtrack! This is the second book of the series “It Happened One Summer”; you can read it as a standalone, but I think these sisters’ stories are worth the read!I really loved how brave Hannah was, she was scared of being ignored in her job or not being good enough; but doesn’t have any problem protecting the ones she loves when she thinks someone is attacking them! Or how she never let the discussions closed, she always tries to solve the problems talking, never let anything midways. And Fox, he has his own problems, he undervalues himself and doesn’t think he deserves anything. Neither a stable relationship or being upgraded in his job. Maybe it’s time to need a little push? This is a story to make you smile and dream; romance, friendship and good music. What more can you need? Are you ready for “Hook, Line, and Sinker”?

A perfect slow burn fisherman friends to lovers
Hook Line and Sinker by Tessa Bailey was just a total dream romance book.I couldn’t stop reading this book, and yet I didn’t want it to finish.Tessa is one of my number one OG authors.. She never fails to make me feel all the things, and this book was no exception.I absolutely adored book 1 of this series and couldn’t wait to get back to Westport to see Fox and Hannah again.Fox our handsome playboy fisherman was just an absolute dream. He gave me Jasper vibes (Too Hot to Handle - Tessa Bailey. Highly recommended read) which as one of my all time favourite book hero’s, I couldn’t help but love. He had such deep and intense feelings, and seeing him have to work through everything had me all up in my feels.Hannah was so lovely. Watching her growth through the book was really satisfying. Her view of life and love of music both relatable and endearing. I don’t want to say too much more on the storyline because spoilers.Their connection was intense, but it was almost a slow burn. We didn’t get any series 🔥 time until about 70% in but in true Tessa fashion, when it comes, it sure comes! It was straight up fire, heat, connection.. the ever present dirty talk .. just everything I want and have come to expect from a Tessa book.I loved the prologue and epilogue of this book too. The set up of the prologue launches you straight into where Fox and Hannah are at in an interesting, entertaining way.. and the epilogue is like the cherry on top tying off our time in Westport in the most perfect way. I know that I’ve likely left a little piece of my heart in Westport with these fishermen.Another permanent memorable fave for me.Another smash hit for Tessa!Highly recommend this book.

Totally recommend
King crab fisherman Fox Thornton has a reputation as a sexy, carefree flirt. Everyone knows he’s a guaranteed good time—in bed and out—and that’s exactly how he prefers it. Until he meets Hannah Bellinger. She’s immune to his charm and looks, but she seems to enjoy his… personality? And wants to be friends? Bizarre. But he likes her too much to risk a fling, so platonic pals it is.Now, Hannah's in town for work, crashing in Fox’s spare bedroom. She knows he’s a notorious ladies’ man, but they’re definitely just friends. In fact, she's nursing a hopeless crush on a colleague and Fox is just the person to help with her lackluster love life. Armed with a few tips from Westport’s resident Casanova, Hannah sets out to catch her coworker’s eye… yet the more time she spends with Fox, the more she wants him instead. As the line between friendship and flirtation begins to blur, Hannah can't deny she loves everything about Fox, but she refuses to be another notch on his bedpost.Really enjoyable read totally recommend
