It's An Ugly Miracle
I'm almost to 28 weeks, and I've been suffering with an inguinal hernia for about 2 months. My doctor suggested any type of tight compression belt, underwear or stockings to help with the pain. In her words, "the tighter the better!". I did a lot of research online, and finally decided on this. I was hesitant to spend so much money on something I hope to never use again, but I should have bought it sooner! The Pro:- It works!! The groin support bands are the best thing ever. I've tried wearing the belt without them, and it just doesn't work to reduce the hernia pain. They are magical. As soon as I put the belt on, the pain from the hernia goes away. After work, I spend a lot of time on my feet cooking dinner, doing dishes, preparing lunches, cleaning, etc. and the first night that I wore the belt I was able to do all my "chores" without pain! The Cons:- It's bulky and can be noticed under most clothing. Since I'm generally not allowing the pregnancy to get in the way of my vanity, I wear maternity SPANX during the day to work. I take advantage of the fact that I can teach sitting down if/when the pain gets too bad. (The SPANX don't provide enough support for me to stand almost all day like I usually would; the groin compression stretches out after several wearings.) I wear this first thing in the morning out of the shower (over my underwear!), then put the SPANX on when I get dressed, and return to the Baby Belly Band when I put my pjs on in the evening.- Pregnant ladies use the bathroom a lot, and it's annoying to unstrap the entire thing 10 times a day to potty. I used to take off the entire belt (especially when I'm wearing it just at home under pajamas), but now I simply unsnap the groin bands from the front and re-attach them on the side so they're not in the way, pull down my undies, and then tuck my underwear back up underneath the belt and re-attach the groin bands the way they're supposed to be. Makes for a much quicker bathroom trip!Basically, it's an ugly, awful contraption (my husband calls it my UPS belt [like the kind delivery of warehouse men might wear]) that is expensive, but it's worth it, especially if you need relief from an inguinal hernia. Don't hesitate like I did; buy it today and you'll be happier sooner.

A must for varicose vein sufferers!
I'm currently 22 weeks into my third pregnancy. Near the end of my second pregnancy, I developed varicose veins in my hoo-ha. They were uncomfortable, but I just dealt with it since I was nearing the end of that pregnancy. This time, however, the painful veins have returned much earlier in my pregnancy, and with an angry vengeance. I decided to search for a product to apply pressure to the veins, and I settled on this one.The nearly $70 price tag made me quite hesitant (this is the only reason I deducted a star from my rating), but the reviews helped to convince me to bite the bullet - especially the reports of good customer service if/when the pelvic straps wear out. I have been wearing the belt for over a week now, and it has helped me so much! I'm able to be on my feet for longer stretches with little discomfort, I'm not constantly pressing on the area with my hands (for the record, I only did this at home!), and it has really helped with the swollen, full feeling. Yesterday, I didn't put it on all day, and I took many trips up and down the stairs doing laundry. By the end of the day, I could barely walk from the pain, so I know without a doubt that the compression straps really do help. The belt portion also feels good as it helps to lift the belly a little.I am so glad I decided to order this product!

Pregnancy doesn’t have to be unbearable!
I have thanked the good Lord countless times in the last week since receiving this absolute gem of an invention. For those like me searching reviews and product info for something that works for both vulvar varicosities and provides support for Symphysis pubis diastasis (spd) stop and look no further. I’m pregnant with my third child at 23 weeks and I thought that I was doomed to a very painful next few months. With my last pregnancy I was written medical leave from work by my doctor and saw a physical therapist to walk. She provided a SI support belt that was not very flexible and very uncomfortable. It barely touched my discomfort and I couldn’t sit or reach down for anything. When caring for a toddler these are pretty prohibitive. This time around I started to feel my pubic bone hurting about a month ago and my lower back/hips stated keeping me awake about two weeks ago. Then bam, I found out that you can get varicose veins in the least likely of places. I could not stand without crossing my legs or holding myself like I was incontinent. Things were really devolving quickly. I took to Amazon on a wish and prayer that I wasn’t the only woman experiencing this special ring of Dante’s inferno. Yatze!!! The baby belly band exists and it is actually going to be ok. I’m terrified of what is going to happen to my pelvic region when baby boy enters the world, but I do take some solace in that I will have this contraption to support me when that time comes. Currently I’m able to walk, sit, stand, and crouch without too much pain from my SPD and this pretty much relieves the varicose pressure completely. I am 5,1” and 118 lbs at 23 weeks and I ordered a small. It works perfectly and there is a lot of extra room to grow. I have found that wearing spanx or compression leggings decreases the double butt problem and then I just wear longer shirts to cover my rear end.Bottom line: expensive? Yes. But I would pay whatever I could afford to get it in order to continue living without losing my mind. If you have spd and/or varicose veins this is the answer.

Works well for hip pain, not supportive for lower back/belly
So I do like this support belt and it is effective at managing SPD related pain but I feel like they could have made the band wider. It does not support my stomach or lower back at all, only my hips/groin. At 39 weeks pregnant with my 4th, the band tends to roll down because of my belly which is a bit of an annoyance. If it was wider it would have been perfect. The materials are all very soft and the Velcro is not rough at all. I do feel like this was overpriced considering it's not supportive to anything besides my hips.
