Diment Power Universal Surface Grinding Dust Shroud for Angle Grinder 7-Inch. Collect Grinding Dust-Wood, Stone, Cement, Marble, Rock,Granite, Concrete

I bought this to grind down high spots on leveling compound and at transitions of concrete. In the past when I have used the grinder on concrete, clouds of dust have gone everywhere. What a change when using this. No dust going out at all. I used a dewalt electric grinder attached to a dewalt shop vac. I needed to remove both the shroud on the grinder and the adjustment lever. With these removed I was able to fit the dust shroud on without a problem. Had to duct tape on an adaptor so the shop vac hose would attach to the shroud. All in all a great inexpensive way to eliminate grinder dust getting everywhere.

I could almost rate 5 stars except for: The vac hose attachment needs to be taped on to keep it from falling off. It almost fits snuggly enough but not quite. The attachment does not quite fit on my Dewalt grinder. There are a couple of nubs on the grinder housing behind the spindle that get in the way of the clamping ring from seating all the way onto the grinder housing. Because of that you can't get the collector on all the way and squared up. It works but not quite right. I have another grinder, Ryobi, that the device fits on perfectly so I went with that one. I forget the exact model Dewalt but I saw a comment here that the collector is a good fit. It fits but not great. Overall, this thing does the job. I removed old ceramic tiles and there was thinset stuck all over than this got it off with the right wheel with essentially no dust. Kind of amazing.Update: I used the tool for 3-4 hours yesterday on my kitchen remodel. Seems like the edge door has started to not stay closed. Not a big deal, but maybe a small latch would be a good idea. Without the door closed, if not next to a wall, stuff gets blown all over.One more issue: not really related to the performance of the collector, but my shop vac, 8 gal model, gets its bag filled quickly. The collector sucks up just about everything so even very fine dust gets collected. With the 75 sqft or so of floor, I had to change the bag in my ShopVac twice. Just something to keep an eye on.

I had to grind a concrete slab in preparation for LVP installation, in an occupied home. If not for this attachment I'd have had to rent a POD to move everything into, because the two inches of concrete dust in the bottom of my shop vac would have been everywhere. It's not perfect, you still need to use plastic drops on furniture, but so, so much better. Fit my Makita 9005B fine, bought a Fernco at Home Depot to attach the vacuum hose, used the SALTI grinding wheel sold here, only problem was the vacuum filter needs cleaning often, a small price to pay. Unit is better made than I expected, thick plastic etc. A happy customer.

I had used it for a grinding concrete floor in garage works great. Great really reduces dust.

Brought this to hook up to a vacuum while sanding my garage floor in order to put down epoxy coating. Basically no concrere dust and works great.
