6 ft standard barbell 1 inch thick review
I bought the 6 foot barbell that is 1 inch thick (The standard not Olympic). It weighs about 15 LBS and fits nicely on my weight rack cage. The distance I measured between the inside of the inside collars is about 48.5 inches. The distance I measured from the outside of the inside collar to the edge (where you put the weights) is a about 11.25 inches on each side. Each inside collar is about .5 inches thick. It is a solid bar and appears to be really sturdy. I was confused if it could support 350 lbs. or 700 lbs. The Amazon description at the top says 350 lbs. but the manufactures description seems to say 700 lbs. Either way out of my lifting range so I am happy. I find the grip grooves are perfectly placed for benching. I gave it 4 stars because I wish it had an additional grooved grip in the middle. Nothing big. Can be solved with weight lifting gloves.

Great Value for the Price
So I was searching for a 7ft 1inch bar to use with my power rack with weights I've already had for decades for my small home gym. If you don't know 1 inch 7ft bars are hard to find and expensive if you do find them. I happen upon this bar on Amazon and saw the price and thought wow, great if it works. I order it and it took 3 months to get. Had to have it reordered 3 times,.. got lost in transit twice. I don't know what that's about. But finally it arrived. Balance is pretty good, thou the weight is off. It says in the description that it is 7 pounds. It's actually 17.9 pounds, but not a big deal so long as it holds up to the weight. I don't lift extreamly heavy any more. Just need something that can hold 300 pounds max. I'm generally around the two hundred pound mark for most of my work outs unless I'm doing legs. So... so far she's held up pretty good tho I fear if I flex the bar too much it might bend. So if your rough with your equipment this might not be the bar for you. But I would recommend it for light work outs. I would have bought me another one but don't want to go through the headache of waiting so long for my bar. The knarling on the bar isn't bad either, it allows you to get a nice grip with out the bar spinning in your hand or slipping. I can't speak to the durability cause i only had the bar for about two weeks. But it does feel solid but light and you get the impresion if you overload it or flex the bar by pushing to hard on it while it's weighted that it will bend. so I wouldn't recommend it for extreme heavy lifting of more than 300 pounds. which for most people should work, besides if your going more than 300 pounds you should be using olympic weights. Just for reference I'm 6ft 230 Pounds. Hope this helps some one.

Not 1"
Not a huge deal, item description says, .97 in and it is, that said none of the spring clamps I have purchased will hold plates, more frustrating than anything.

Perfect size
If you have a Fitness Reality power rack, get the 6 feet

Excellent value
I needed a 6 ft bar with wide enough grip width to clear my squat rack width, which is 48in. most 6 ft bars are less than 48in, this one clears the cage by about 1 inch...perfect! I did not want to go to a 7 ft bar. The build quality is very good, knurling, chrome finish, weight rating, and can't beat the price! Very satisfied.

I like this bar
I'm using the bar with IronMaster 1 inch plates and they fit perfectly. I have some Synergee 1 inch plates that are a little loose on it but I just put some electrical tape on the bar to beef it up a bit so they fit. Nice simple shipping packaging

Slightly smaller than standard
I needed a 7 foot bar but I already had a bunch of standard plates and didn't want to buy an entirely new set of 2" plates. The bar was a good price and was just what I needed. The diameter of 0.97" does mean that 1" locking devices aren't quite snug enough to keep plates from tilting when on the ground.

Fairly pleased
Bar is solid. I didn't realize that I bought a 7 foot bar and my weight room is pretty small so it's a tight fit but nonetheless a great buy. Bar starts flexing at around 200 pounds loaded on it.
