Battery Base Echo First Generation ONLY (Up to 18 Hours!!) | Black | MegaBoot

We use the Koozie LLC Battery pretty much daily for the last couple of years. It has worked awesomely!! We had a small issue, the company more than made up for it!! Will definitely buy more from them!! We currently have three!

Awesome! I've had it for a week and it still going strong after the first full charge. I have used it for approximately 7 hours w/o charging and the battery is still going over the past 7 days. I use it everyday for approximately an hour with music and questions mostly. I wish it had an indicator for the charge left so I would know when it is time to charge instead of letting run to the end. No big deal! I would highly recommend to anyone that wants Alexa mobile to get it with the 18 hr charger.

When I first got this product I was happy to see how long my echo can play without being plugged in to the electricity. Then one day I walked into the room and smelt something burning it was the battery. I hated that this happened where as I can't take it to the park or out in the yard. I really can't afford another one. I would like to hear from you on how this item can be replaced.

It is Okay but once I got it I found out that I didn't need it.

I like this battery base for the Echo. The design fits well with the Echo look, but adds at least an inch in height. I fully charged the base and then let the echo run for about 5 hours listening to music starting about 9 in the morning, I then put it in my car and drove to another location about 2 hours away (it was still on but no internet). I then kept it playing till about 11 pm at night (another 8 hours). It was in standby all night (another 7 hours). It still had juice left to play a few songs before I headed for home. It reconnected to my home internet and continued to play a few more songs before I plugged it back in to recharge. So all in all I estimate it was running a good 17 to 19 hours and was playing music for at least 13 hours. The sound quality using the battery sounded great. I could not tell the difference between power and battery. I am pleased with the amount of power this battery produces.The battery is plastic and is molded perfectly to fit the echo. I was a little concerned that because of it's tight fit you would mar the finish of the Echo. Once you get it on...leave it on. I would not recommend taking this on and off. I did take it off once and you basically need to wiggle in ever so slightly (using a rocking motion) and it will come off but you need to be very careful. I did not mar the finish when I took it off. On the positive side this battery will not fall off which is what you want.I am giving this 4 stars for the following reasons: 1) the black plastic finish on mine is slightly off in matching the Echo, it matches and is not unattractive, but you can tell it is not perfect, 2) the bottom needs to have a non-slip rubberized finish and not be just plastic, and 3) for a battery this expensive it needs to have at least 4 LED lights showing the charging status. I would prefer not to need to guess on the charging status of the battery.Bottom line, if you want the longest battery life, are willing to pay $89 (top dollar) and are willing to ignore its minor deficiencies this is the one to buy. It installs quickly with a direct connect plug in the base (no chance for it not connecting) and works as advertised.

plugged and charged this thing for 24 hours...unplugged it....went to work and it was dead when I came home 9 hours later...needless to say I am not happy with it. the mfg says it has the good cells not from china...but the product says made in Korea....so I'm leary about their honesty. I would not buy, recommend this to anyone.

This battery made my Echo a thousand times more usable. I carry it all over the house, talking to it, starting timers (so my showers don't last all morning), asking it to play lullabies to my kids and dogs and parrots, setting fuses, tracking my ex-wives. Okay, I got carried away there. My showers are always quick. This really is a great product. I had a problem with the color, and the company could not have been quicker or more generous in their response. I ACTUALLY bought a second one of these AND a second Echo for my elderly parents. This baby is the real deal. Do it.

I like the idea of having my echo portable without having to plug it in. But for that price, I don't think it holds up to 18 hours worth of power. A fully charged battery in the morning, with no activity all day, the power is drained by the evening. I am not impressed. And it looks terrible on my white echo. Would love to return it, but unfortunately I have gotten rid of the original packaging.LATEST UPDATE: I received an email not long after my review and someone from the customer service called. He patiently walked me thru my set up making sure that I did everything correctly. He then explained to me that the battery should be on the plug at all times. It isn't meant to be unplugged as soon as the charger green light indicator is on unless you need it to be portable and go on battery power. Otherwise it is ok to be on the charger at all times. In addtion they swap out the black to the white for me. I am a happy camper now.
