“Get Your Gears Back” Without Touching the Sprocket
I have a 7-speed fat-tire bike that I bought for road use when I weighed 357 pounds, as it was the only off-the-shelf model that would hold me. I’m now at 230 (and dropping) and still ride it, as I like the slight added resistance of the low pressure tires. Only thing was, with its 36T chainwheel, I was riding the bike in top gear all the time and “pedaling out of the gear range” going downhill. I put this on this morning and, all of a sudden, it’s a seven-speed bike again. I can cruise at 12MPH at a comfortable 60-72 RPM in fourth gear (dead center on the sprocket), and still have three lower gears and three higher gears for hills and overpasses. That is what I wanted, and I bet it’s going to help with chain wear as well, as I’m not always riding at that acute top-gear angle.

AHHHHHHHH
Fist it took almost a month and a half to get the piece and its not the same one i ordered!! Looks completely different, its a different size (the wrong size that wont fit), and it doesn't come with the second crank that you need to attach it to the bike... SO MAD that I have been waiting for this piece for so long and I cant use it.

Came with incompatible crank arms
They came with incompatible crank arms. Notice from the pic that the bottom bracket spindle holes are off by 45 degrees - that doesn't work.

Works with 700c bikes.
Exactly what I needed for my 700c bike. Amazon rocks for bike parts.

Great Concept, Poor Execution
Good idea to have double guards, it ensures your chain will stay on no matter what. The good:- Easy to install- Double guards installed at factory (something very rare here in the US)The bad:- Guards are not even, as you spin you can see them go in and out- Material seems cheap (what should I expect at the price)- Due to the unevenness, chain rubs every cycle and makes rubbing sounds (metal to metal)I have already ordered another crankset to replace it. Put it on order immediately after riding with this for the first time. Since I can't find any other dual guard setups I went with a single guard instead.Only time I would recommend this product is on a younger child's bicycle that takes a beating and the chain pops off a lot. This would certainly fit that bill.
