If you enjoy competitive 2 player games this is one of the best out there. A lot of meaningful decisions, strategy and tactics. Also a lot of variety and play styles from the different decks. Simple to learn, hard to master, like most great games.Very high quality dice and board, the cards are pretty good quality, although I would sleeve them. I do like the board but it can be difficult to pick up and slide cards around on it especially if not sleeved, I might invest in the neoprene mat version of it if you find yourself really enjoying it, or just sleeve them up like I mentioned before.I also want to mention although amazon says 2-4 player game THIS IS ONLY A 2 PLAYER GAME.

I love how with each deck there is a whole different way to strategize. Each game lasts a good amount of time and it is a really nice game for just two people!

As a fan of card games like dominion, I wanted to introduce similar games to my kids so that we could enjoy playing them together. This game is fairly easy to set up and play within 10 to 20 minutes. The first game took about 45 minutes with several interruptions from the other kids, but we had lots of fun playing it. we may have to find out a way to include more than two players in the game, perhaps having teams so that we can limit interruptions, and include more people in the fun. As we continue to play, we will all need to learn strategy for all the different decks, but it will be a fun experience for myself and the kids.

Summoner Wars is an excellent game for two players. It's mix of tactical positioning like chess, with the drawing of cards and the unique way of building the magic resource from killed units and the randomness of the dice rolls make this a really fun and interesting experience. The second edition is a big improvement over the already excellent first edition (they are not compatible)This listing and it seems others on Amazon no longer include the two promo cards advertised in the description as the first printing seems to have been sold out. I hope they change this as it is misleading.

This game is fantastic. It’s pretty easy to learn especially if you have played a game like MTG before, although this game is much more simple.Each player takes a turn consisting of 6 steps: 1. Summon 2.Build 3.Move 4. Attack 5.Magic 6.Draw. These steps never change so it makes the game easy to pick up. The card art is really great and the quality all around is very nice. I highly recommend

Buy this version, watch a couple of youtube’s videos to learn to play. Definitely one of the best 2 player games out there!

We have a huge collection of games at home, and if you like video games - especially games like Final Fantasy Tactics, this one is for you.I recommend this over the starter kit, even if the price is a bit higher.

The only card battling game me and my SO truly like and one of our most played 2 player games after trying soo so many.The rules are super elegant and easy to learn yet offers an incredible depth.This box is a great starter set. The two factions are fun to play, feel unique and don't get old after many plays. You can try the game at a relatively low investment. The master selection is the next worthy purchases to truly expand a box that can entertain for hundreds of games. Yet the two starter factions see plenty of play even after buying almost every other faction.We still use the foldable board, tokens and dice of the Starter Set when traveling.Every faction feels unique. The mechanics feel clever and have multiple layers of strategy. The art is nice. The randomness of the dice add to the strategy rather than deduct from it by working your way against the odds.

This starter set is a great way into summoner wars. The two factions inside give you everything you need to try the system.I picked it up for 18euro which is great value for two factions.Easy recommend if you want to try it out without a big investment and the cheapest way to add some extra characters if you have the core box already.
