2 Heavy Duty Drum Dollies 1000 Pound - 55 Gallon Swivel Casters Wheel Steel Frame Non Tipping Hand Truck Capacity Dolly

I bought these so that the used whiskey and wine barrels that I have as counter space next to my barbecue can be easily moved to clean up leaves or other debris and also to reconfigure the area. Very sturdy, easy to assemble, and the casters roll and swivel smoothly.

I got a 2 pack, some assembly required. The dolly wheels had to be attached. One of the 16 (or 32, I forget) bolt holes was not large enough to allow the bolt through, so it was left off, but everything works OK. I have 2 water barrels that haven't moved in over 15 years, but the 2 new ones were filled outside and moved inside on the drum dollies.

This thing is sturdy and solid, and the price was amazing compared to anything else I could find anywhere. I ordered another for another smoker I have (I used them for UDS drum smokers). Wish it had rubbery type weels to make it a bit smother to move, but that is just preference. These are standard caster wheel holes, so if you wanted a different wheel you could upgrade later (which I may do if I can find some rubbery ones for cheap.

Enameled Steel, as advertised. Works fine. Should accomodate the 440 pounds the filled container will weigh with ease.Only difficulty was that two of the sixteen holes were slightly smaller than the bolts that needed to go in the holes. Perhaps doing a little better quality control and making the holes a tiny bit larger so that when the enamel is added, the hole isn't too small. Would have preferred that the bolts were flush with the frame where the drum rests on them, as they make eight pressure points that may, over time, cause the plastic 55 gallon drum to fail.

If you are a prepper or are big into food storage, you know how annoying it can be to have those heavy blue 55 gallon buckets of water sitting in your way in the garage. They are a pain to work around, and you probably won't be able to bug out with them in an emergency. The solution is to BUY THESE!!! We have 8 of the big 55 gallon water barrels in our garage and moving them around has been so easy. It's worth every stinking penny. If there was a huge emergency and we had to leave, we could push our barrels up a ramp and into a truck with these dollies. The barrels are still heavy, but at least you can move them! I am a woman who is 5' 4" and weigh 115lbs. I CAN MOVE THEM. It may take most of my might, but I did it. I moved all 8 of them from my driveway where I filled them with water into my garage. It took about 5 minutes and I had them exactly where I wanted them. Do it. Buy these. I looked into materials to make my own (and weld them myself). The cost is pretty much the same. Don't waste your blood and sweat trying to just make it your self. These are easy. You have to screw the wheels on yourselves, but that's not rocket science.

These drum dollies work very well and are easy to assemble. Best price Ive found anywhere. Super fast shipping too. I have a 55 gallon water-filled barrel on these in my cellar on cement floor and I can move them around quite easily.

Quality seems decent… only time will tell- But the hardware is garbage… like mentioned the length of the bolts render them unusable. I purchased 5/16-18 x1/2” grade 8 hardware with regular grade 8 nuts and will loctite them… and it will clear the wheels. I’m going to use this for a 55gal drum of Methanol so will report back if it doesn’t hold the weight.

Excellent quality dolly. Required a 9/16 wrench to attach the casters. The nuts, bolts and washers for the casters were supplied. The only minor issue I encountered was the thickness of the paint in the caster bolt holes which prevented bolt attachment until cleaned out. I'm using it for a 55 gallon water barrel (458 lbs.) in my garage. I do recommend this dolly without reservation.
