Trevethan Mixed Berries Handcrafted Cornish Gin with Balanced Botanicals - Speciality Small Batch Gin - 37.5% ABV - 70cl Bottle

I put a £10 Amazon voucher towards this lovely sounding gin as a treat that I thought would be nice for the summer. So I was extremely disappointed when I could not discern either rhubarb nor apple!! I think had it been the basic vodka it might well have worked, but the juniper to make it gin smothers anything else. It's too bitter for fruity flavours and frankly the the taste could have been any fruit, though it had a sort of 'candy' taste. Not nice!I gave to a friend, who likes her gin, and though not impressed was slightly more positive than I. So, like everything it is a genuine matter of taste. The bottle has now gone to another friend, who knows her gin, and I shall be interested in what she has to say. But I will never buy again. Lemon is the only fruit for gin!

I came across this gin on holiday in Cornwall and got through the first bottle really quickly. The passionfruit flavour makes a delicious gin and tonic.
