She's the One [Blu-ray]

Many great characters portrayed by some of my generation’s most watchable actors. This is an extremely watchable romantic comedy, with some clever twists along the way. Every scene is a worthwhile addition to the story, and it seems as if each of the family members in each of the family’s could easily be part of my own family.So, then, romantic, funny, warm with just enough surprise to make every moment a bit suspenseful.I believe that Ed Burns is something of a genious.

Good movie not great

Such a good flick! Was directed and acted by Edward Burns... Great first cameos of Jennifer Aniston & an extremely young, Cameron Diaz. One of the greatest underrated roncom movie of the 90's generation. I've watched it at least over 100 times.

Love the music through your the entire film!

The story is not well written. Acting was fine. Spoiler Alert: At the end, the good wife, who is currently a waitress, gave up her opportunity to pursue Ph.D. degree in Paris and chose to stay with her husband who is currently a cab driver in NYC. And she decided that she is not going to Paris the day she is supposed to get on the plane because her father-in-law (who is being cheated on by his own wife) convinced the daughter-in-law to give up her study in Paris. Given that the young couple were struggling financially already, I hope she get her refund for the ticket. Seems like the couple made life change decisions without adequate communication.

I enjoyed this film after seeing it on TV late one night, the upgrade to blu-ray is worth it and the music by Tom Petty still sounds good. Great cast and story line, if you like Jennifer Aniston then you will love this, I purchased the US import as it was uncut and region free.

～一回目、字幕なしでみたときにはおもしろさがよくわからなかった。２回目字幕をみていると、よくわからなかった細かいニュアンス（この映画の重要な点）が理解でき、親近感をもてる設定や登場人物の日常生活に、日本の常識では少し飛躍しているが、アメリカではおそらくありがちな問題がうまくからみあったホームドラマ＆コメディ＆ラブストーリーでした。今～～では有名なキャメロン・ディアスやジェニファー・アニストンも自然にチャーミングな演技で、ほかの俳優さん、若手はもちろんのこと、お父さんや店主もとてもいい味をだしていた。また弟が妻に電話するところ、その妻が弟から告白されたときの前髪が息で揺れる場面など、映像にかなりこだわっているように感じました。一生懸命作られた、伝えたい思いが伝わっ～～ている誠実な映画で、みてよかったとしみじみ思いました。～

Ich spoilere hier, also nur Lesen wenn das nichts ausmachtMickey ist halbwegs normal, seine Frau und ihre Freundin sind ordentlich Verhaltensgestört aber natürlich selbstgerecht wie nur was.Mickey bringt seine zukünftige Frau mit seinem Taxi zu einer Hochzeit wo sie ebenfalls heiraten.Dann beginnts: sie erzählt ihm nicht daß sie in ein paar Tagen in Paris studieren will, das macht ihre Freundin die ihn für einen Idioten hält, aber doch ganz gern mit ihm und ihr Sex zu dritt hätte.Die Wohnung seiner Frau entspricht ihrem Charakter: es gibt oft kein heisses Wasser, keinen Strom und im Bad kann man den Nachbarn von oberhalb beim Pinkeln beobachten.Zuerst möchte sie das Mickey nach Paris mitgeht und dann doch nicht mehr. Zum Schluss ist sie wieder bei Mickey, anscheinend wird aus Paris doch nichts.Mickeys Mutter hat schon seit 6 Monate ein Verhältnis mit dem Eisenwarenhändler, spielt aber ihrem Mann vor das sie in dieser Zeit zur Kirche geht.Das Mickeys Bruder ein Verhältnis mit dessen Exfreundin hat und die Scheidung einreicht rundet die Sache ab.Die Exfreundin heiratet dann doch einen anderen, einen alten Exkunden, sie war ja einmal Callgirl.Der Bruder jammert dann seine Frau am Telefon an das er wieder alles gut machen will, tja leider ist sie bereits bei ihrem Exfreund und hat absolut keine Lust auf einen zweiten Versuch.Drei Frauen und ein Mann lügen, verschweigen und betrügen und Mickey ist wirklich ein Idiot. Aber die Eine ist ja wieder bei Mickey, alles gut und so. Ein seltsamer Film.
