KORRES Apothecary Wild Rose Brilliant Priming Gel-Moisturizer, 1.35 fl. oz.

I've been using Korres Black Pine Bounce Firming Moisturizer for a while. It replenishes the hydration that I need, but I noticed the company now makes a tinted gel moisturizer, so I gave this priming formula a try. On its own, the tint doesn't do much, but when layered under a cream make-up, the overall effect gives my face a nice healthy glow.The moisturizer is perfect for my problem skin—it’s not heavy and no ingredients aggravate breakouts. The ingredient list is impressive, and works very well on dry, middle-aged skin like mine that is still prone to blemishes (usually caused by pore-clogging ingredients). None of that is in this. The moisturizer is pleasantly scented. Both Korres moisturizers work well, but this one adds hydration as well as some luminescence.

This is one of those rare products that I will order again when I run out. It makes my skin look amazing in seconds. It is slightly tinted, not so much that it matters how light or dark your skin is, just enough to slightly mask imperfections with it's bronzy glow. It's not shimmery or metallic by any means, I hate glitter on my face. This is just a glow that makes my skin look radiant and healthy, I can easily wear this alone with no makeup and feel perfectly confident. You can use it day or night. It's moisturizing as well so you really can't go wrong. I like heavy moisturizer at night, so I reserve this for day use as it's definitely light weight. It smells very nice and is mildly scented.

I like this brand a lot. I order this product and another one. They came quickly but were expired as they had that smell or lotion that is several years old. You couldn’t smell the fragrance at all. I exchanged them both for a replacement. The replacement was also expired. I’m returning them again. And disappointed.

So I have what I guess can be considered "mature" skin (I'm 55), and sometimes skincare products that have shimmer or pearliness to them can be a little much, accentuating flaws rather than concealing them. I wasn't sure what to expect with this moisturizer, but much to my surprise it makes my skin look dewy and not shimmery. It has a light tint to it, but doesn't sit on the skin like foundation, and it catches just enough light to create a glow without bringing attention to fine lines. I am pleasantly surprised to find that this is enough for days when I don't want to wear makeup - it adds just a little bit of a finished, glowy look on its own, and it adds moisture also. Add some cream blush and mascara and I'm good to go. The older I get, the less I want to use foundation, especially on hot summer days. This is great for days just like that. I love it, and would recommend.

This is not a bad product, but it does contain a little too much shimmer for my personal taste. The product smells slightly of roses and has a bit of a tint to it in the jar. Once applied, I found the product to be lightweight, but the shimmering finish did not look good on my problematic skin. It might work best for young skin.

This is a nice gel textured facial moisturizer. I have historically liked the Korres products I’ve tried in the past, and this is nice too. The texture is nice and light, and has a wet, hydrating feel as it is smoothed onto the skin. It dries down after about a minute or so, with mica particles leaving a glowy finish to the skin. When you first look at the color of the gel, it appears to be similar to a cream foundation. I definitely had concerns that it would change my skin color, but I don’t think it did so much as it provided a glow. I will say that it does leave behind its color on your washcloths or cotton pads, much like a foundation would when being removed. If you sweat a lot, or touch/rub your face, this might not be the best moisturizer for you, as you are likely to transfer the color onto your clothing. This would be a nice addition to a skin routine in the winter to impart some glow onto dull, winter skin, or in the summer for some serious glow up. It does contain lactic acid, so make sure that the ingredients play well with other skin products you are using. The scent is ok- I can tell it is floral, but it isn’t the rose scent I was expecting. I’m betting this could be used strategically as a highlighter as well, in which case a jar will last you forever!

I really like this product. I can substitute it for both moisturizer and primer in the morning. It blends well and really smooths my skin so any type of foundation I use after goes on smoothly and easily.Smells great. Has no adverse effects-- no break outs or anything.Easy to use. I would reorder when I'm done with this jar. Recommended!
