Reception is greatly improved.
The fit is slightly loose in the Bose radio, but it still works well.

Just what I needed
It picked up a lot of radio stations

Poorly constructed
Poorly constructed at the pivot-point at the point of entr, does not stand up to help pull signal. Waste of my money.

Works, maybe not that well (haven't finished tweaking it)
I used the adapter that is included for install on a Pioneer receiver i have. Much like a boombox stereo antenna, it extends into maybe two feet, perhaps at the fullest extent. It does provide FM signal for your tuner but in terms of sound quality and signal strength it seems kinda so so, you do and can tune in to many stations, just not a high quality signal antenna really, kinda basic. But does function as advertised. I had trouble with it being loose at the adapter, had to keep tightening it, and it didn't want to stay in place, perhaps because i just hand tightened it. Worked fine on my Pioneer though, can listen to the radio feed of the local football while watching the TV broadcast. If you're looking for a high quality radio antenna replacement you've come to the wrong item, but then again, FM stations are not exactly studio quality audio anyway. (DISCLAIMER) to be honest i'm not a radio centric kind of listener, i mostly stream audio through a streaming service. People with more sophisticated equipment may be able to get more out of this antenna than I could. I bought it for my parents so they could have local radio coverage, which really they listen to very rarely anyway. (Made in China) I will continue to work on it, i kinda like doing little audio/video projects, they occupy my nervous brain. Would I buy it again, yes. Works just perfect for the situation I needed it for. Should an audiophile buy it? Probably not.
