Aqua Design Zip Rash Guard Men: Long Sleeve Mens UPF 50+ UV Protection Shirt

I just received this item in the mail today so have not had a chance to actually wear it and put it to the test. I can usually wear an XL but ordered 2XL because I don't like binding or shirts that are too tight and ride up in the back, especially when sitting in an inflatable kayak all day. Same reason I ordered men's rather than women's. I did try it on and it fit as I expected/hoped it would. It seems to be a really nice shirt. I love the design, bought the Aqua Sky color, the feel of the material and the 1/4 zip front. It has a "hidden" front slash pocket that I know I'll make use of. It felt heavier than expected. I've had problems with some major sun damage on my arms from spending my life out in the sun and now it is catching up with me. I practically do everything outside. I bought this shirt for an upcoming river trip in a couple months for it's spf protection and I'll write an update for it after I actually wear it out in the sun for hours upon hours. I'm really anxious to wear it. It's so nice, I may turn around and order another in a different color!

I purchased this shirt specifically for a vacation fishing trip in Costa Rica and it fit the bill perfectly. At first I thought it might be too heavy and be hot to wear. While the fabric does feel heavy to the hand and when you put it on I didn't notice that it was hot. It appears to breath a bit and feels good. The sleeves rolled easily and stayed put just below my elbow and were convenient to pull down when I felt I had all the sun I should take. While I didn't try it - I think it might be a great cooler to get wet and let the evaporation cool you down on a hot day. I think it will dry quickly.I look forward to wearing it in North Carolina throughout the season. I had expected some fashion guffawing from my side when I made the purchase but once she saw me wear it she gave it her thumbs up fashion approval... rare indeed! I recommend this shirt.

The product is very comfortable and fits reasonably well. I'll use it primarily fishing in Florida, so the product will be tested for durability and comfort. It's February and the sun isn't nearly as stong and certainly not as hot as it gets. If it lasts I'll get more. The wife already wants me to one for her.4-29 follow up. The product is better than I/we had hoped for. Very comfortable/durable and have purchased additional shirts for my wife and son. I bought a men's small for my wife since there isn't women's sizes. The shirt(s) is very versatile and my wife has used it for field photography trips since the fabric is extremely good at "wicking" moisture away from skin. My son is a free diver and uses the shirt when diving. Just rinse with fresh water and it dries in no time.I've also purchased the fishing hood/mask to protect my face from the sun, very comfortable to wear.Previous rating was 4 stars... I've changed that to 5 stars.

To use in YMCA swimming pool. Not outdoors.

well made. i was thinking the neck was going to be a bit higher. sleeves are a slight bit short. nice chest pocket big enough for a cell phone in a plastic case. fabric is on the heavier side; for cooler days. seems like it will last a long time.

I absolutely love this shirt! It provides excellent sun protection and was worn with the Aqua Designs Fishing Mask, Fingerless Gloves and Long Billed Sun protective fishing cap with neck cape for total sun protection while out fishing on a sunny day on Lake Superior. I wear a womans size XXL shirt and the Mens XXL fit just right with no room to spare. The fabric is lightweight and very comfortable, not too hot in the sun. The shirt is also a swimshirt to wear while swimming to protect upper body from UV exposure. Great quality product that I would definitely recommend to others.

Perfect fit for my husband in size large (6 Ft tall 190 lbs) which is his usual T-shirt size. He wears it to the beach and it saves him from having to apply sunscreen all over his torso (which is a plus when you have 3 kids ages 5 and under climbing all over you and pulling at you on the sand and in the water). Not too long or too tight. Going to order one for my dad, too.

Although it's marketed as hunting and fishing gear, I ordered Aqua Design sun protective clothing in "aqua sky" for paddleboarding. It is well made, comfortable, the aqua sky color is very pretty - not "camo" looking - , and protects me from the sun (without having to use messy sunscreen). My order was delivered in a very timely fashion. I am hoping the company will add sun protective fingerless gloves and bug protection to their product line! I would very highly recommend this product!
